We’re packing it in, folks! The rain is picking up, and it’s not going to be going away. We deeply appreciate the vendors who stuck it out with us this morning, and everyone who came out despite the rain to support them! It may not have been a beautiful day for a Farmers Market, but this rain is beautiful for our farmers, so we aren’t even mad about it. Mark you calendar for the second weekend in June - in addition to our regular Farmers Market, we’ll be having a special add-on event we’ll be announcing soon! Also, you can catch many of our vendors at the Downtown Blakely Farmers Market next weekend, if you missed us today!

Tomorrow's the day, and we'll be on the Square rain or shine! Check out some of the great vendors we've got this month. We're missing a couple who have signed up for the season - The Corn Crib (Hope is busy getting her new place ready to open next weekend!), and Tin Hat Homestead will join us in June!

We're still accepting vendors, if you want to join us tomorrow. Just go by the Colquitt Miller County Chamber of Commerce website and sign up. May (and only May!) is free for all vendors, so if you want to give us a try and see, we'll make some space for you!

We're not going to let a forecast get us down - on Saturday, if it rains, we will dance in the rain with as much excitement as we would bask in the sun, and thank the Lord for it!

That said, since there is possibility for stormier weather in the afternoon, we will cut things a little short (just for this month), and end at noon instead of 1PM.

So come join us, rain or shine - just make sure you throw an umbrella or some ponchos in the car, just in case! Check back tomorrow, when we'll post some of the great vendors we'll have (yes, there will be produce!)

May 9th is the day of our first Farmers Market of the season - so make sure to stop by The Station to pick up your crawfish boil plates while you're here for the Market (Or stop by the Market while you're here to pick up your plate?), and help support Hilton and Keslie Lane!

Ya’ll please pass this around. We are going to do a large crawfish boil for Mr Hilton Lane and Keslie. Haven’t worked out all the details but it’s scheduled for May 9 and will be available for pick up at The Station in Colquitt and J3BBQ in Bainbridge. If any locally owned business would like to help with buying the food give me a call. I would like this to be huge. I have the equipment to cook for over 1000 so let’s get together and show them some love. We will have tickets for sale at several locations (to be announced). If anybody would like to help promote this that would be great too. I’m too old for this computer stuff. Thank you for what you will do.

For the Miller County Farmers Market, we are looking for produce vendors, plant sales, farm product (honey, farm-raised meat, boiled peanuts, eggs, ect) vendors, homemade goods (jams, jellies, sauces, bakery goods, candies, goat-milk soaps, botanical/natural beauty products), and agriculture-inspired handmade goods/art. Face painters, artists, and entertainers are welcome - please contact the Chamber to discuss. We will not be accepting general food trucks/vendors at this time, and other vendors will be on a case-by-case basis - if you aren't sure, please contact the Chamber or the Miller County UGA Extension Office. Vendors are responsible for having any required permits from the Department of Agriculture - if you have questions about permits, please contact Cody Powell at the UGA Extension Miller County office.

The Miller County Farmers Market Vendor Signup page is now live on the Chamber's website - you can use the QR code below, or use the link in the comments below.

The Farmers Market will take place on Colquitt's Historic Downtown Square from 9AM - 1PM on the second Saturday of each month, May 2026-October 2026. Vendor fees are: $20 per Farmers Market, or $50 for a spot at all the Markets (which is a savings if you plan to attend 3+ markets this year!). Vendor fees will go to supporting and promoting the Farmers Market.
