This weekend felt like community in every sense of the word. ♥️
Two markets. Hundreds of conversations. Familiar faces, brand new ones, hugs across tables, and people stopping to smell everything.
There are weekends where I come home thinking about sales, what worked, what didn't, what I'll change next time.
This isn't one of those weekends.
I keep thinking about the people.
At Hex & Harvest alone, 72 tiny potion bottles disappeared from our table in about two hours. Kids and plenty of adults lol stood around choosing herbs, words, colors, and little pieces of magic to carry home with them. I got to watch Rowan step in and help people create. I watched strangers get excited about plants. And I watched something I brought simply because it sounded fun become this tiny gathering place in the middle of absolute chaos.
The painted pumpkin auction raised money for the VFW and people got to take home the most beautiful artwork.
And in between all of that were the conversations.
The real ones.
The ones where someone comes to the table looking for tea and somehow we end up talking about bodies, healing, creativity, motherhood, seasons of life, or whatever needed to be spoken about in that moment.
That has become one of my favorite parts of taking Celestial Roots out into the world.
And then the market ended.
We packed our booths. Helped the stragglers get their stuff out to their cars. Cleaned the hall. Put everything back where it belonged.
And then a bunch of us wandered downstairs, grabbed a drink, and celebrated one year of Open Circle Events.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I've been brought into this little fold of artists, makers, weirdos, helpers, and genuinely good humans—and I'm really grateful for it.
Because community isn't just who shows up at your table.
It's who sends someone over because they think they'd love what you make.
It's who watches your booth while you p*e. 😂
It's who helps carry somebody else's stuff when everyone is exhausted.
It's who stays to sweep the floor after the customers have gone home.
It's sitting downstairs afterward, tired as hell, raising a glass to what you've all built together.
This weekend, people showed up.
For small businesses.
For artists.
For the VFW.
For their kids.
For each other.
And I'm just really grateful that Celestial Roots gets to have a little place in the middle of all of it. 🌿♥️
