We have been busy here. Rosemary, Lavender and Chocolate Mint all dried and put up. Still have Pineapple Sage, its dried and ready to put up.
Lydia and the girls have been busy making windshield and tea parties and all the kids take lots of breaks, some inconvenient timing but necessary, swimming in the pool. 😆
Lydia's proof there's no need to brush your hair when its so hot outside.
A nice pile of 4' or so logs from the old dead tree we cut down.
Dont have a picture for reference but we have been saving all our "Athena" cantaloupe (5-6 #'s) seeds and "Mini Love" (3-6 #) watermelon seeds for next year. Only plan to plant early girl and celebrity tomatoes. Our blackberry plants "Triple Crown and "Prime Ark" really blew up and took off. We over planted bc we figured some wouldn't make it. They are thriving and surviving. Hoping for lots of starts come next spring so we can start our next patch.

Fruits our labor. Surprise melons, bc we dont know what kind they are. The seeds we bought said, " blue watermelons" so we are patiently waiting to see if what we get. I think the plant labels were mixed up at the plant sale.
Thought we were getting huge melons but theyre ripe n ready about the size of a little kids soccer ball. Enough for 2 people. Super sweet n seeded.
Whatever we get we will appreciate. ❤️
First year garden with lots of surprises. Its so much fun. This year has been so rewarding in so many ways. PLenty of rain and sun for this year's adventure.
Appreciate the little things in life for greater rewards.

FREE!!!
We have about 25 more or less 3 to 4 months barnyard mix cluck clucks to give away. I believe theyre mostly hems..may be a rooster or two in there. Red laced wyandotte/wellsummer/buff orphington hens were crossed with either a buff orphington roo or a black frizzle roo. You might get some pure breeds in there too.
Our 8 lavender orphington girls are not free and not for sale!
Must take all 3-4 month old cluckers. If you want one you take them ALL. YOU must come get them. We will catch them for you. We will not hold ANY for anyone! We need them gone ASAP! Will be posted in other groups! Must pu tonight btwn 830 and 9pm (to get them off the roost or tmmrw morning btwn 8 and 9am before we let them out to free range.
PM ME FOR DIRECTIONS! only getting rid of them bc we are switching to raising JUST guineas.

We ALWAYS take time to see the flowers. Wildflowers we found on our driveway. Lydia loves flowers and learning their names and uses.

Delberts always keeping the wood stove goin hot. Also found a surprise plant. Idk what it is but I'll let it grow until it produces. Really missing my sweet potatoes, okra and asparagus this year.

White, Celebrity, Early girl, better boys, and pineapple tomatoes. May have a cherry tomato slipped in there somewhere. Cantaloupe plants seem to be doing well too.

New thornless Prime Ark and Triple crown blackberry patch, plum other and apple and cherry trees, green and purple grape vines, Blue Water melon starts, Purple new potatoes and white potatoes, Zinnias (btwn the potatoes haven't bloomed yet), Crimson watermelons and Begonias. Everything looks so nice.

Lavender, Rosemary, Corn, Cucumbers, Squash, Watermelons and Sugar snap peas. All this rain has really boosted their growth.
