I suppose I should introduce myself again cause everyone is confused about “The Nail Lady” being in here with all this homestead amazingness ! And rightfully so .. it doesn’t exactly go together lol And also there’s quite a few more followers 🙂
I’m Brandi and I’m “The Nail Lady” . (Sorry, im indefinitely not taking new clients for that btw) I’ve done it for 12 years. Ima single mom with 2 grown kids “kinda” outta the house , and a cranky 14year old still at home! So I do all this by myself, hence I do nails 5 days a week to pay the bills while I get White Rabbit Apothecary up on its feet! Do they go together. Nope .. but that’s why 😉
I’m a little cray cray (in a good way) and I’m quite traditional in morals, thoughts and actions .. Im fairly old fashion actually with a little spiciness AND I’m super hilarious to be around!
Background in this kinda stuff 👇🏻👇🏻
I was a military brat and we moved around a lot but oddly enough I’ve always loved all things old fashioned and farm like . I was obsessed with horses and couldn’t wait till my dad retired from the marines where he promised we would land on a farm ! And we did! In Weaubleau Mo when I was 12 years old . We did all the farm things and that just ignited my passion even further! Though life I always stayed close to traditional ways of doing things all the way into adulthood . I got into herbal remedies mostly because of my step dad actually . Who is a doctor/pharmacist .. I worked as a manager for him for 16+ years when he owned a pharmacy on the square , so I’ve got a bit of pharmaceutical education under my belt more so than the average bear . I combine that knowledge along with all my herbal studies I’ve done, so I try to have a good handle on helping others navigate what might help! I’m both a fan of pharmaceuticals when it’s necessary, AND herbal support for the body .
I was also always hanging out with the great-grandparents and grandparents (ima nerd) , learning all the old ways of doing things . Growing and preserving food , yarn making , bible studies, crocheting , reusing EVERYTHING you can .. etc .. it’s important to learn, remember and pass down what our grandparents did! We’re loosing it as generations go by .. so just think of me as your long lost, 43 year old, granny Brandi 😎 I’m gonna teach the community everything I know to be self sufficient in your own backyards .
This place is , and will grow more to be, like a farmers market on steroids! Where you can get supplies for all your homesteading needs , get natural products such as soaps , lotions, and herbs to support your mind and body without chemicals .. fresh food from local farms.. and just as important , a place to LEARN! There will be many more workshops and classes available monthly so keep an eye out. We’re planting more seeds than just vegetables! ❤️
