Not only is this the perfect date night, you are also supporting an amazing nonprofit that keeps history, farming, and real food alive at The Farm at Prophetstown.

And rumor has it, the chef, Rusty Hetsko, is where the magic behind the meal really begins. Born and raised in Delphi, this self taught chef has 25 years of experience and a passion for farm to table, from scratch cooking that turns simple, seasonal ingredients into the kind of dinner you will talk about long after the plates are cleared.

If you have been looking for a sign to slow down, get dressed up, and enjoy a night where someone else does the cooking on a beautiful working farm, this is it.

We are excited to announce our upcoming "Farm to Table Dinner: Celebration of Spring."
As the gardens come alive this May, our menu will highlight a fresh haul of greens and colorful root vegetables. The evening will also feature homemade cheeses crafted by our farm chef.
Event Details:
- Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Date: Friday, May 22nd
- Location: The Farm at Prophetstown
Reservations are required to attend. Please call 765-567-4700 to reserve your spot. Please note that park admission is not included with the ticket price.
We look forward to celebrating the season with you!

Farmers wear a lot of hats; producer, marketer, bookkeeper, logistics, and more. It can be tough to juggle it all while still growing a strong direct-to-consumer business.

That’s why we love seeing programs like Next Acre investing in veteran and rural farmers with practical training, marketing support, and peer collaboration opportunities. They’re helping farms build clear growth plans and stronger operations so more local food can reach more local families.

If you’re a veteran or rural farmer looking to sharpen your business skills and expand your farm’s direct-to-consumer sales, this may be a great resource to explore. We’re cheering on every effort that helps good farmers thrive and keeps real food flowing into our communities.

We're launching this free program for rural and veteran farmers soon! Through virtual classes, you will learn to grow your business! Send an email to Nicole, scan the QR code, or head to the website to sign up or to find out more information.

Dear Friends and Patrons of Saint Adrian Meats & Sausage,

We are announcing a strategic change for Saint Adrian's Butcher Shop on the square in Lebanon. Effective May 30, 2026, we will be closing this location as we prepare for a long-term expansion plan. As many of you know, we have never been entirely satisfied with the logistics of the current downtown space.

What This Means For You:

Immediate Service: All services, orders, and wholesale needs will be handled here at This Old Farm, in Colfax. You can continue to rely on the same high-quality products and customer service you expect from us.

Delivery Available: We will offer delivery on Friday's for orders placed in a means to offer even more convenience as you wait for our re-opening in 2027.

The Future: We are actively planning to reopen in Lebanon with a new and improved concept. When we return, it will be in a new location and under a new name that better reflects our mission and matches our sister location in Lafayette: This Old Butcher Shoppe

This is not goodbye, but a shift toward a brighter, more efficient future for our customers and our business. We look forward to serving you here at This Old Farm and appreciate your continued support as we make this important transition.

Food is medicine and it starts long before it hits your plate.

We loved this conversation from Opt2Liv with our customer Farmer’s Provisions, a multi-generational farm just down the road in Middletown, IN. In this episode, they unpack what it really means to raise truly grass-finished, regeneratively raised beef and why it matters for your health.

You’ll hear about:

Why all “grass-fed” labels are not created equal – and why grass-finished on fresh pasture is the real game-changer

How regenerative practices like daily moves, pasture rotation, and soil health translate into more nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory beef

The real story behind antibiotic overuse in feedlots vs. animals raised on open grass

Their “ancestral blend” ground beef that sneaks in organ meats for a powerful boost of B vitamins, iron, and healthy fats

How their family is making clean, local, trustworthy beef convenient and accessible with bundles, ground beef, and quarter/half beef options

At This Old Farm, we share the same heart: healing people by healing the land, and connecting you directly with farmers you can know and trust. If you care about where your food comes from and how it’s raised, this is a must-watch.

Watch now and learn how choosing local, regeneratively raised beef can become a foundation for your family’s long-term health.

At Opt2Liv, we deeply believe that food is medicine. When it comes to the protein we put into our bodies, we often say "you are what you eat," but the truth ...
