Happy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads , biological or not, who step up every single day as role models for the next generation.

We SEE you, we appreciate you, and we hope you get at least a few minutes today where someone else handles your honey do list because even “honey” deserves a day off.

Today we are restocking with Dad in mind so be on the look out for all things manly from BBQ pulled pork to BBQ Ribs, meatloaf dinners and more.

And if Dad is the kind of guy who believes the grill is his happy place and the tongs are basically an extension of his hand, we have fresh choice meats ready for him to show off his “grillmaster skills”

It’s Saturday ☀️

And I have to say, when I heard the news this week that Railway Cafe will reopen when they are ready, I felt a little glimmer of hope that our collaborations of Cinnamon rolls and more will continue in the future. 💜

As we all continue to co-create our new “normals” in honor of Carrie and beyond let’s remember to smile, share kindness and be there for one another.

There is so much love, support, and community surrounding all of us, and I truly believe that’s where the magic happens.

WOW - the kitchen is cranking it out today!

We just added

And for all our dog parents we have FRESHLY smoked Bark Bones to keep your favorite pup happy for hours!

And for dessert Chef Bob just made Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake and Carrot Cake.

Sad to say our Beef burrito wasn’t a hit this time but at 50% today maybe just maybe they will find their special someone.

It’s Friday ☀️

And what a glorious day it is! A beautiful breeze, low humidity, bright sunshine and for many of you, a long weekend as we observe Juneteenth today. Enjoy every minute of it!

💜 Thankful Thursday 💜

And I truly am.

Even though I didn’t get to do all the things I had planned on my days away from the store, we DID get some much needed outside time. We put up our second sign (so now both sides of the building are visible ), planted some lantana (my favorite!) to bring more color and joy to our space, and added fairy lights to our grapevines along with, of course, purple lights for Carrie around our entrance. 💜

It was exactly what I needed.

Thankful for two beautiful weather days where no matter where I went, the top was down and the music was cranking (Bret Michaels, of course ).

And now, we’re back in the store with FRESH entrees, sides, salads & more!

It’s Monday 💜

And I’m going to be really honest, folks, I’m looking forward to our two days off to cocoon myself a bit after a week filled with so many emotions.

Thank you to everyone who continues to check on each other, offer words of support and encouragement, and openly share those much needed hugs. The kindness, compassion, and love that has surrounded our community has been nothing short of incredible.

Small communities truly are something special, and we are so grateful you are a part of ours. 💜

In just 2 days we raised over $300 in our little store and will continue through today.
Tomorrow we’ll head to the bank to make our deposit from all of you. THANK YOU!

After last Monday’s embarrassing empty cases by 4pm, Chef Bob is back in the kitchen cooking up new entrees to make sure we don’t ever repeat that again! SORRY!

Who knew Mondays would become our busiest shopping day here at Kelly’s Kitchen Take 2? The last few weeks have shown us exactly that, so we are ready!

💜 It’s Sunday 💜

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and we as a collective continue to come together as the MAGIC Carrie always was and continues to be in spirit.

I am so grateful to be part of a small town filled with so much love, care, and compassion. The way this community has wrapped its arms around one another is truly something special. 💜

Yesterday, Raspberry Hill Farm donated 5 beautiful flower arrangements, bringing in over $100 for Carrie’s kids. 💜

We will continue collecting cash donations, which will be deposited into Northwest Community Bank’s fund for them.

Thank you ALL for your continued support of Ben, Piper, Nicole, and the Railway Cafe which, in time, WILL reopen. We are so incredibly grateful to hear they are continuing Carrie’s legacy. 💜💜💜
