Ask our customers what comes to mind when they think of Fourchette, and we usually hear two things: cheese and tablecloths.

We love that. From the beginning, we’ve sourced our European linens with the same care we put into the cheese case. A few patterns have been with us since day one, but every season we bring in something new. This fall’s collection is a little of both: the staples you count on, and a few new designs ready for your table.

Our Halloween cheeses are Brahim approved! This week, we stocked the case with spooky favorites, preparing for Clinton’s Haunted Mill season. These seasonal wheels are only around for a short time so be sure to treat yourself while you can 👻

Our Halloween selection includes:

🧀 Clawson Farms Shropshire Blue |
This award-winning, mellow blue cheese is orange with blue veins running through it like cobwebs.

🧀 Moses Reaper |
This is Moses Sleeper’s evil twin: a gooey, brie-style cheese with an ash-dusted rind and a jack-o’-lantern orange center.

🧀 Petite Boo |
It’s a triple crème brie that hides a bright orange paste under a thin layer of smoky ash.

🧀 Sainte-Maure de Touraine (Ash) |
This Loire Valley goat log has a ghostly gray ash rind and a bright, lemony paste.

🧀 Colston Bassett Shropshire Blue |
The legendary Stilton makers produce this deep-orange blue, which is creamy, nutty and slightly spicy.

Christmas came early in Clinton 🎅🎄 Our little Main Street was chosen as the cozy backdrop for a special shoot with New Era Cap, and we had front-row seats as the crew strung lights, hung wreaths, and turned October into December. Even Santa made an appearance!

An exciting day for Clinton! If you stopped in today, we hope you left feeling a little festive.

A customer wrote us a poem in French about a fork and a piece of cheese, falling for each other on a plate.

It’s called “La Fourchette et le Fromage,” and it’s genuinely lovely. The cheese trembling at the fork’s “pointed intentions,” a wink, a little melting soul finding its moment to shine. We gave it a proper home next to the cheese counter for all to read.

We opened our doors in 2013 and never once imagined we’d be the kind of shop that inspires poetry. But the customers and friends we’ve made along the way are exactly why opening Fourchette remains one of our best decisions.

Sound on for this one. That post-pour gurgle isn’t an accident! 🐟 First designed in the 1870s in Staffordshire, England, the Gluggle Jug has been produced in Stoke-on-Trent for over 150 years. And that gurgling sound is functional, not decorative. It happens when the jug is poured about three-quarters full, causing air to enter as liquid exits.

If you’re a tinned fish fan, this is big news. Even if you’re not, this just may be your gateway in. Jose Gourmet has landed at Fourchette, and it’s tinned fish done as an art form rather than an afterthought.

José Gourmet was founded in Portugal in 2008 by two friends, one a pilot, one a university design professor, who set out to treat conservas the way the rest of the food world treats a good bottle of w**e. Every tin is hand-packed in Matosinhos using traditional methods and the finest catch from small-scale fishers, then wrapped in original artwork. The result is sardines, mackerel, razor clams, and more that look as good in the pantry as they taste on a cracker.

And because presentation matters, we’ve also got the tinned fish holders you didn’t know you needed, the kind that turn a can of sardines into a proper picnic moment.
