Black Ambition, founded by Pharrell Williams, is working to close the wealth gap by investing in bold ideas and providing underrepresented founders with the resources, capital, and community they need to thrive.

The good news...

Phenomenal Foods Co made it to the semi-finals for LEAP accelerator for emerging brands — an honor only 8% of applicants achieve. 🥳

The not so good news:

We weren’t selected to move forward with the new cohort.

And you know what? I’m pretty sure that seeing our digital channels sold out over the past several weeks could be a reason why.

Just keeping it real...🤷🏽‍♀️

Our stock-out is nearing an end, thanks to the work my advisors and I have been doing behind the scenes. But if my hunch is right, I absolutely understand why the selection committee may have hesitated to give us a golden ticket.
⁠
This is bittersweet, but it’s also affirming. If our application could make this kind of impression being sold out online, imagine what we’ll do with the right funding in place.

Having said that - the reality in this industry, is that sometimes things happen that are beyond your control. It can be rough out here in CPG land. Full stop.🛑
⁠
I’m sharing this for three reasons:

👉🏽 For the next founder who needs to hear that your “no” might just be a “not yet.”

👉🏽 To say that even when you plan meticulously, reality doesn’t always flow according to plan. Stay in the game. There’s value in every lesson along the way.

👉🏽 To underscore that the right support at the right time changes everything.

There’s always 2026. In the meantime, I’m holding space for the day Creamy Keto Hot Cereal® breaks through the Whole Foods oatmeal wall. 🎉

🚨INVENTORY UPDATE 🚨New inventory is on the way!!!
Thank you all so much for your loyalty and for your patience as we run small batches during our transition to a new manufacturer. We’re moving production from Connecticut to our home state of Ohio, and in the meantime, my team and I are running small batches like we did when we started out in 2021.
We just filled a large commercial order and will be sending a portion of those runs in to Amazon TODAY!
We’ll be running small batches every week until we’re up and running with our new manufacturing partners. (Who we’re VERY excited about, btw! 🙌🏽😀🎉)
