Food and Meat Co-op

Food and Meat Co-op We’re not your average food source: we’re a community-powered co-op bringing high-quality meats & frozen food direct to you at wholesale prices.

We skip middlemen, support farms & producers, & help families fill their freezer w/food they feel good about. Cassie’s journey started with a simple need—to feed her growing family high-quality food without breaking the bank. What began as a personal mission quickly grew into a community-driven movement that’s now helping thousands of families access wholesale-priced meat, pantry staples, and more—without sacrificing quality or values.

Guys!!! 🚨 How would you feel about a $95 deal on 40lbs of fresh, natural, cage-free chicken breast?!
THIS IS A PRE COVID PRICE!! That means a great deal in 6 years (since the co-op started!)
We are seeing chicken drop again in the wholesale market and if we can order full truckloads, we can get an EVEN LOWER PRICE than wholesale!
Some of you know the drill already, but I have to have at least 1500 case commitments to get the $95 per case price.
We have seen $99 and $97 with truckload wholesale prices for the past few years, so $95 is even that much better. Crazy awesome opportunity!!
Details: 👇
To make this happen, I need to commit to a full truckload (or two!) of chicken. With the incredible support of our communities in Idaho, Utah, Nevada and Wyoming, I know we can do it.
I’m asking for your thoughts and to complete this form so we can know if we can commit to this deal as a community:
👉 Would you want in on this deal?
👉 How many cases would your family need?
Please complete this survey if interested. This link is the official count for the 1,500 we need!

Have you noticed beef prices continuing to climb?

If you've been shopping with the Co-op for a while, you've probably seen that beef costs have increased across the industry over the past few years. It's not just us—ranchers, processors, grocery stores, and meat distributors are all facing the same challenges.

The biggest reason? There are simply fewer cattle available right now. Combined with higher feed, transportation, labor, and operating costs, beef prices have continued to rise nationwide.
The good news is that we're doing everything we can to help keep quality beef affordable for our members.

Some of the ways we're working to help include:

Purchasing in bulk
Offering larger case sizes that lower the cost per pound
Maintaining relationships with trusted suppliers
Continuing to look for the best possible value without sacrificing quality

We know many of you rely on the Co-op to fill your freezers and feed your families, and we take that responsibility seriously.

We put together an article explaining what's happening with beef prices in 2026 and what we're doing behind the scenes to navigate it.

You can read more about it here. Let us know if you've noticed beef prices increasing in your area, too.

One of our favorite parts of co-op pickup days.

This is Cassie’s daughter — part of the Food & Meat Co-op admin team — helping hand orders out to families at pickup.

The co-op truly is family-run, and it takes an incredible team effort behind the scenes to organize orders, coordinate pickups, and help thousands of families stock their freezers each month.

Moments like this are a reminder that the Food & Meat Co-op is about more than just food. It’s about community, hard work, and families helping families.

Thank you to everyone who supports the co-op and makes these pickup days possible!

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO THE FOOD & MEAT CO-OP!

What started in May 2020 as a small community effort during uncertain times has grown into something truly incredible.

From just a few families coming together to buy food in bulk… to thousands of families across multiple states stocking their freezers with high-quality food at better prices — YOU have made this possible.

Over the last 6 years, we’ve:
Helped families save money on groceries
Connected communities with farmers and producers
Delivered truckloads of food across Utah, Idaho, Wyoming & Nevada
Built friendships, memories, and one amazing co-op family

We are so grateful for every order, every pickup, every share on social media, every kind word, and every family that has supported this dream along the way.

This co-op was born from a simple idea: families should be able to access better food without breaking the bank. And 6 years later… we’re just getting started.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Here’s to many more years of good food, community, and freezer-filling fun!
