After much thought and a fair bit of dilemma, we have made the decision to not offer premade Mother’s Day bouquets.

This wasn’t an easy choice, but it felt like the right one. At the heart of our farm is our commitment to growing and sharing flowers that reflect our values— locally grown, safe, organic, and as natural as possible. Offering imported (covered in pesticides) premade bunches, even for a special holiday, didn’t feel true to our beliefs.

If Mother Nature cooperates, we’re hopeful that we’ll have our own tulips and anemones ready in time for Mother’s Day. If they bloom when we hope they will, we’ll be excited to share them with you! If not, we’re hoping you’ll still enjoy & share them with your loved ones on non-holidays too!

More than anything, we hope you’ll continue to support us through the upcoming growing season. There are many ways to enjoy and support what we grow:

Some seasons humble you.

For the first time in six years, my dahlia tubers froze in the garage during the extreme cold earlier this month. Today I discovered that all 130+ tubers — built up slowly and intentionally over the years — turned to mush and mold. Just like that, over $2,000 and six years of growing, dividing, saving, and dreaming… gone.

If you grow Dahlias, you know they’re more than flowers. They’re time, care, and patience stored underground season after season.

This is one of those unexpected farmer moments — the behind-the-scenes heartbreak that shapes a season before it even begins. We will rebuild. We’ll start again. But it means purchasing new tubers and beginning the slow process of replenishing our stock over the next several years.

We will have to purchase, but won’t be able to purchase the full amount that we had inventory of so this season may look a little different. Thank you in advance for your patience and support as we grow back stronger.

Here’s to starting over — with grit, gratitude, and hope. 🌸

Surprisingly, creating condolence arrangements has become something I truly enjoy as a flower farmer and florist. It definitely was not a market sector I was interested in until a loyal client unfortunately needed and requested them. After having done several condolence arrangements, I wish I could say it gets easier, but it does not. While harvesting and creating these arrangements, I slow down and reflect on the loved ones that are missed and the sudden void in families and friendships.

Delivering two arrangements to two different families today reminded me to reflect on the true meaning of life and taking that moment to appreciate those loved ones around us.
