🌱 MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK! 🏡
What a whirlwind these past two weeks have been at Triple Cross Acres!
We've managed to get the plastic covering onto our new greenhouse (JUST before the torrential rains!), give our underground greenhouse a massive makeover, and, perhaps most excitingly, begin growing our very first microgreens right here on the farm! 🎉
But the real story is the wonderful people who helped make it happen.
On Tuesday, in the middle of a workday, we had something like 11 friends, neighbors, and helpers come together to get our greenhouse covered before the storms arrived. What a blessing!
Meanwhile, Jon has been hard at work transforming our underground greenhouse. Check out those before-and-after pictures! 👀
🌱 Our new microgreens growing shed is nearly finished, the germination chamber is humming along, and we're making good progress transitioning operations from Rooted Farm to Triple Cross Acres.
A special thanks to Joshua and his friends for helping us move some VERY heavy equipment. I hope we won't have to move any of that again for a long, long time. 😂
🍂 And FINALLY, fall weather is here! After what felt like the longest summer imaginable, we're looking forward to harvesting some fresh greens and other cool-season crops, hopefully as early as next week.
Our new online farm store is also settling in nicely, and we're excited to spend less time managing inventory and more time growing food!
Tran has been working really hard in the kitchen this week. Be sure to grab some of her jalapeno jam, cowboy candy, jalapeno glaze, Swedish almond cake and seed crackers, and of course her wonderful brownies!

So many hands have helped bring this little farm to where it is today. We couldn't be more grateful.
Here's to a cooler, more productive, and perhaps even a little calmer fall and winter!
