Several Announcements

One Post......

Please read....I hate I even have to make this announcement.

1.) Do to way too many donations being expired and or opened products, I am no longer allowing anyone to place items into the pantry themselves.
We stopped all expired items months ago (we're not your dumping grounds) no one wants the last four crackers you left in the bottom of a package, or your half bottle of opened lotion or your used makeup either and so on. Please throw your stuff in your own trash. I know that you've only got good intentions and thank you for this, but it is a liability issue.

2.) The pantry will no longer be available at all hours. 7am to 8pm 7 days a week, unless you arrange something with me personally.

3.) All pantry items will go to an as needed basis, with appointments if:
People continue to leave my gates open, people keep opening my driveway gate (there's an entrance right by the pantry), people demand I personally stop what I'm doing to bring food out to their car for them (the pantry is a "get it yourself pantry", people pull up to my gate honking and demanding I let them in my gate at the driveway (park your vehicle ON the GRASS along my fence by the road) and much more (I just don't want to list it all) ..... I know yall can read and I have a detailed pinned post on my pantries page that explains what to do, it's pretty simple.

4.) There's some unopened formula someone had sent to my house in the pantry.... please someone come get it so it doesn't go bad. Thank you.

5.) We could use some donations.... donations are needed weekly.... if you're able to donate... please do. Also please read the pinned post on the Community Stands page first. Thank you.

6.) If you're needing food, please read the pinned post on the Community Stands page, which you can get to by clicking on the name above.

This post isn't intended to offend anyone... this is my personal residence, I have neurodivergent children and animals.... we're just a family trying to help other families in need. We're not an agency.... this pantry runs 100% on donations only.... if problems continue, I'll be forced to shut it down completely and I really don't want to do that.

Donations needed

Yall we've helped so many families this week. This community is such a blessing to so many. I want to thank each and every one of you for all the love and support you have given.

We are in need of canned vegetables, canned fruits, and other canned needs. It's the end of the month and families are certainly struggling, as a lot are now days. So if you're able to donate please do. My overstock is completely gone and the pantry is looking sad.

Requests made by several people are: bottled water, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables.

What an amazing and glorious thing this wonderful family has given for those in need.

Kids deserve to feel normal too and have snack foods just like any other kid gets....and this momma who donated, understood that.

I'm sorry I didn't get your name, was busy with our new puppy who escaped to the back yard. 😁

Yall if you're needing snacks for your kids, food, and toilet paper..... our free pantry has some today.

Overflow is in my garage, so if you come and what's pictured here isn't in the pantry, give me a call, and I'll bring some out. My number is listed on the pantry, on this post, and on the pantry page....same with the address.

Information Post

We're a 100% community based free food/ book pantry. Meaning without donations this pantry won't work, we need or community's help to keep it running.

We're located at:
1351 S. Choctaw Rd
Choctaw Oklahoma

Open from 7am to 8pm--- 7 days a week
I generally don't take messages, calls, texts from 10pm to 9am and will be available between 9am and 9pm, depending on what I'm doing.

Please park your vehicle in the grass along the outside of my fence, along Choctaw rd...There is a smaller walk through gate located next to the pantry... do not open the gates at my driveway please. Keep all gates closed behind you, please.

Donation Placement: DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THE PANTRY.....DO NOT BRING EXPIRED FOOD or OPENED PRODUCTS PLEASE!
Please place donations on the RED picnic table in my yard. If it's raining call me and I'll come out and get the items from you. (We do not pick up donations)

For those in need:
This is only for free books, food, and smaller items donated to the pantry....unfortunately at this time, we can't help with anything else. We do not deliver or do online sending of anything. If you can not come pick items up yourself, you may send someone to.

We do not require you to provide any information or to prove you need food. We don't care about your income or social status. If you need something, please come get it. The pantry is self serve. There's bags in the bottom of the pantry, if you need them.

Only take what is located within the pantry, unless I have tables out, with signs stating the items are free (the free pantry isn't the only thing I do from my house)

We no longer put food back for anyone or take requests....whats in the pantry is what you can get.

Free Books:
I do not have a stand that is waterproof, so I keep the books in my garage. If you'd like to look at the books we have for free, just let me know.

I will be putting pictures up of the free books we have from time to time.

Free books are for everyone not just those in need.

You may donate books, just leave them on the red picnic table, or call me when you get here and I'll come out and get them, if I'm home.

Donations we need:
Not expired, non refrigerated items, shelf stable, and unopened foods.

Canned foods like: vegetables, fruits, beans, tuna, chicken, soups, really anything canned

Dry goods: noodles, rice, hamburger helper type boxes, beans, flour, sugar and so on.

Snacks: especially kids snack foods.

Bottled water

Fresh uncut produce like fruits and vegetables

Farm fresh table eggs

Breads

Baby needs:
Diapers, bottles, blankets, bibs, diaper rash ointment, pacifiers, and onsies. I will take unopened, not expired formula.

Other needs:
sanitary napkins, toilet paper, shampoo & conditioner, bar soap, fingernail clippers, new & unused socks, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, dawn dish soap, wash cloths, towels, and anything else small enough to fit in the pantry you can think of.

Other ways you can help:
We really could use a deep freezer, refrigerator, and storage shed.... I'd like to be able to help out more people with bigger items, clothes, and cold items, but I can't do that without help from the community.

If you, or someone you know would like to donate these items, please let me know.

Cash Donations:
I do take cash donations to go towards either buying pantry items, or to put back and save to buy the deep freeze, fridge, and storage shed. I do not give money to people at all, at this time.
So if you would like to donate money on the behalf of one of those things, please let me know.

(All monetary donations will only go towards what you've asked it to go towards, if in the event the fridge, freezer, or storage shed is donated by someone before I'm able to purchase said items, I will contact you to give your money back)

Thank you so very much to the person who donated this stuff. We really appreciate you!

Today of all days has shown me how much OKIE love we all truly have for each other.

As fast as people donated today, was as fast as the pantry emptied again.

So many giving with big hearts and so many in need a well.

You all have helped more than 10 families today and the day isn't even over yet.

What a blessing today has been.

Happy Memorial Day yall. May your day be filled with so many blessings!!!

I want to thank the families who have come out and donated to us. It really means the world to those in our community who need a hand up. You all rock!!!

We've already had several stop by and utilize the pantry for themselves and others.

Our pantry isn't hudge, but it's open 24hrs 7 days a week, too give those who are in need or want to donate an opportunity to do so on their time. Unlike other pantries that are only open certain days and times.
We've had families walk here to get things, families who work odd hours, and so many other reasons why I decided to let the pantry just stay open.

We're ran 100% on community donations. We only take food that isn't expired and doesn't need refrigerated at this time. We also take fresh uncut fruits and vegetables. Also personal hygiene items, baby needs and so on (things that would fit in the pantry or my overflow shelves in my garage) just not large items at this time.

If at any time someone has a shed, fridge, or deep freezer they want to donate so that we can take on more donated items, please let me know, I'd love to be able to help those in need with a lot more.

If you or someone you know is in need, please stop by at your convenience and get what you need. There's some bags in there for you to use as well. If you are needing anything that's not in the pantry, please message me here, call or text me, and we can network to get you what you need.

At this time there is no money donations, we do not do gas vouchers, clothing vouchers, we don't do online orders and send things to you, we don't deliver and I can't pick donations up from anyone. We're simply a walk up free food & Book pantry
