Hey everyone, meet kiera! Kiera came from New Jersey to attend College of Charleston and graduated last year.
She’s an artist who loves photography, videography and painting as well as yoga!

Kiera’s veggie bin favorites right now are the local bunched carrots, organic plumcots and the sea salt red wine vinegar Lowcountry kettle chips. While she’s relatively new on the Veggie staff, Kiera joined the team without missing a beat and we feel like we’ve known her for years! It’s a pleasure to have you on board , Kiera!

It’s Friday and yep, it’s staff spotlight day! Today we’re featuring Jules! Jules comes to us from Durham, NC. During an off season from sailing, Jules came aboard to help out and she just couldn’t leave! From the moment Jules walked in the store and introduced herself, I was met with warmth and a feeling of familiarity. It felt like I had known her for years! She has impeccable customer service skills and is full of awesome recommendations for cool shops, restaurants and more!

When she’s not busy with the Veggie hustle, Jules enjoys cooking, collecting, beach-combing, sailing, and discovering new music. Her veggie bin faves are pea tendrils, rainbow carrots and the Other Plate chickpea cookies.

Thanks for all you do to keep the ship running, Jules !

It’s Friday and that means Staff Spotlight! Today we are featuring our wonderful manager, Martin! Martin came to Veggie Bin after spending time in Iceland working on farms and horse riding tours so her “farm to table” experience runs deep.
She enjoys photography and is certainly talented so make sure to check out , her photography account. She has also been learning about edible native plants on the peninsula! How interesting!
We always make sure to have chiogga beets on hand for manager Martin along with her other faves, Joolies dates (with pits!) and Forx Farm cultured butter.
Martin has taken a lot off my plate as well and makes my job easier everyday. Thanks for all you do !

We’re trying something new on fridays: staff spotlight! Let’s get the geezers out of the way first!
We are Lauren and Michael Bailey and we own and operate the Veggie Bin. We’ve been married for 14 years and met at the old Vegetable Bin on Society street. Together, we enjoy spending time with our radical almost 7 year old daughter, going to the beach, and gardening. Michael loves the gamecocks and watching his bird feeder and I love all things music(playing and listening) and cooking!
Veggie faves right now: Lauren is digging the local taters from spade and clover and Michael has been enjoying Ghostgrow843 baby greens!
Catch us every morning at Veggie Bin!

Strawberry season has been incredible so far! Here’s a few recent strawberry based things I have made:

Strawberry margarita
Strawberry pico de gallo
Strawberry coulis to top my classic cheesecake
Radish green salad with strawberries, micro chervil, micro fennel, forx farm parm, balsamic
And a little cliche but a simple strawberry shortcake

Thank you
