AND you can double your SUNBucks at our Farmers Markets this summer with our 1:1 match!!

☀️🍉Great news, California! The SUN Bucks food program is renewed for Summer 2026! 😋

More than 3.5 million eligible California children will automatically receive SUN Bucks EBT cards that can be used to purchase groceries starting in June, and each eligible child will receive $120. Eligible children who are not automatically enrolled will need to apply through their school to get benefits.

You do not have to figure everything out alone!! If there’s something standing in the way, let us know. Need help understanding [or filling out] permits or paperwork? Need signage? Don’t have a tent yet? Need some free seeds? Not sure what’s required? Let’s talk about it.

Our community needs more local food producers at the market, and we want to make participation feel possible and accessible for everyone who's interested.

Good news, WIC families! You can use your California WIC Card at all Modoc Certified Farmers Markets, and we'll even match your spending!

The new WIC Card now has a quick-response (QR) code, making it easy to use your Fruits and Vegetables Benefit at farmers’ markets. Use your card to buy fresh, locally grown produce. 🍅🥦🍇🥕

Here is how it works:

Shop at a WIC authorized farmers’ market.
Show your WIC Card, and the farmer will scan the QR code.
Confirm your purchase by entering your PIN, and enjoy fresh, local fruits and vegetables.​
