Our Story

Cedar Crest Ice Cream began in 1976 and is family owned and operated by four brothers.

The logo, which has remained a constant for many years, recalls the family’s long history along Highway 60 and the Five Corners area just north of the city of Cedarburg. Cedar Crest’s corporate offices remain within eye-sight of the corners. Cedarburg’s covered bridge still stands and is a short drive down the aptly named Covered Bridge Road.

Production of Cedar Crest Ice Cream occurs in Manitowoc (If you’ve never been to the plant, just look for Beatrice, the over-sized bovine…she’s hard to miss!)

Today, Cedar Crest produces approximately 3.5 million gallons of ice cream and other frozen desserts per year, making it the second largest ice cream company in the state. Cedar Crest Ice Cream can be found in northern Illinois, eastern Minnesota, the U.P. of Michigan, and throughout the entire state of Wisconsin.
