Hi Friends! It been a while since we've had an update from the farm. We are going to try and do a better job keeping you informed, hopefully on all things farm related! Fun fact of the day...
One of the very first American breed of beef cattle, the Santa Gertrudis, was developed on the King Ranch in Southern Texas. Bred in the early 20th century, they were not officially recognized until 1940. Bred to thrive in harsh hot ranching conditions, the original Santa Gertrudis are typically 5/8ths Shorthorn and 3/8ths Indian Brahman.
We are excited to present our newest addition to the farm from the good state of South Carolina to the great state of Virginia, Senior Zeus!
