There is a Pattern with prices every year with the 5 holidays(Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, and the 4th of July). Prices on Steaks, Ribs, and other Cook-out Meats Rise because of demand. Buy Early and Freeze it when you can.
An example, I am paying $2 more a pound now for New York Strips than in February, and $0.70 more a pound for Butts. They will cost even more at the 4th of July. Then they fall off because it is 2 months before Labor Day.
Basically, all the prices go up and down throughout the year. New York Strips are at their highest usually in July and their lowest I November and December. You can get some good deals when you buy off season.
