Good afternoon, Carl Junction!

We hope everyone enjoyed the Market Day yesterday! What did you all get?!

We got a couple things in the works to discuss. First, we’re going to attempt to expand the Farmers’ Market beyond the pavilion and open up the option for tent vendors! There’s a nice strip of side walk next to the pavilion that we fill would be an excellent area for these types of vendors. Check out the flyer for additional details and email us at [email protected] for a vendor packet or message us your email and we will email you our vendor packet if you’re interested in applying to be this kind of vendor. We have our monthly meeting scheduled Tuesday, June 16th where will go over the current applications we have pending now and any new ones submitted between now to Tuesday, June 16th during the closed session segment towards the end of our meeting.

Second, still working out the details, but mark your calendars for July 2nd. We’re cooking up something big for the community with a sponsor. We’ll get back to all on this when the details become more concrete.

Thank you everyone for supporting the market and our vendors this season. We are and forever will be a work in progress as a market. Last season, we wanted to establish consistency. This season, we’re focusing on marketing and growth while applying the same consistency as our first season last year.

We’ve been rained out these past few two weeks so we’re hoping to bounce back STRONG tomorrow, June 4th! Please come and see us! It’s going to be a beautiful day for a trip to the Farmers’ Market! The pavilion has been upgraded courtesy of the City of Carl Junction so we have TWO giant fans for a little extra breeze on those warmer days!

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Purple Chin Condiment Co — bringing the heat, flavor, and homemade goodness to the Carl Junction Farmer’s Market!

🥟 A Must-Try Item: Empanadas! These savory hand pies are popular throughout South and Central America and are made with local duck eggs from Evans Family Market in Neosho. Choose from three delicious varieties, including a vegetarian option and a traditional Argentine beef picadillo.

❤️ Favorite Part of the Market: The customers! Purple Chin loves seeing familiar Carl Junction faces not only at our market, but at other local markets throughout the week as well.

🔥 Best Seller: Their Pizzeria-Style Pizza Sauce and Fresh Pizza Dough. Together, they sell around a dozen of each every week and make pizza night easy and delicious.

👨‍🍳 How It Started: Purple Chin Condiment Co. has been serving the community for three years. After a stroke at age 38 ended a restaurant career that began at just 15 years old, this business became a way to continue doing what they love—cooking at their own pace.

🌱 Fun Fact: All of their pestos are made using locally grown produce!

The carnival is in town for Carl Junction and we got not one, but TWO bracelets that have been generously donated by the Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce that will be raffled off at the end of the market tomorrow, May 28th!

One free entry for each person that visits our market table and one additional entry per item purchased from our vendors at the market!

We also have THREE food trucks tomorrow! We got A-Ray’s Desserts, Shaved Ice Guy AND Twisted Pineapple!

The Market Menu post from the Carl Junction Farmers’ Market will drop this evening. HOWEVER, I wanted to drop some news ahead of time because…well…I’m impatient when it comes to disclosing some awesome news…

As many of know…the carnival is IN TOWN! Hayden Fox, the Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce new director has generously donated TWO carnival bracelets to the Carl Junction Farmer's Market to be raffled off at the end of tomorrow’s (Thursday, May, 28th) market day! Check out the raffle entry details pictured below!

You know what else is in town? A-Ray’s Desserts and Twisted Pineapple! They’re going to set up at the Carl Junction Farmers’ Market tomorrow (Thursday, May 28th) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
