A beautiful flower arrangement for my mother-in-law today picked fresh from the field. Flowering kale, mums, snapdragons, and celosia. 🩷

🍁 Seasonal blooms all straight from the flower field this morning. Heirloom mums, flowering kale, lisianthus, amaranth, snapdragons, celosia, and hibiscus. We can’t believe we have some blooms left at the end of October! We’re so happy to be able to enjoy these on the table for the next 10-14 days.

🌷 A big task was completed today! All tulip bulbs have been planted and will bloom in the Spring. Spring Flower Subscriptions are available for purchase now on our website at gillamsproduce.com/store

🌼 Oh, and I found a few dahlias that were in decent shape even though they have been damaged by frost. So of course I had to soak in their beauty!

🧙 We had the best time today for our Witches Broom Workshop!

🧹 These women made the most beautiful broomsticks, and they were all unique!

🍪 We would like to give a special thanks to Walnut Tree Baking Co. for baking some delicious sugar cookies and to McCombs Family Farm in Cuba for the peacock feathers.

🔮 We hope to another dried floral workshop soon. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Farm views of the last day of harvest until we get frost. This has been the best season yet! Thank you for all of your support throughout the season. 🧡

Although we may not have anything to harvest after this weekend, we’ll still be very busy planting tulips, digging up dahlias, cleaning up the field, and planning for next season!

🎃 Have you guys ever heard of these? They are called Pumpkin on a Stick and they are so cute! We will be hanging these to dry for future use and the orange color will become more vibrant. How beautiful would these be in a Thanksgiving centerpiece? 😍

If you have not had the chance to experience our farm fresh flowers, then we would love to meet you tomorrow! And if you see this and aren’t currently following us, go ahead and give us a follow. 😊

✨ It’s such a magical time of the season when dahlias, lisianthus, and eucalyptus are ready to harvest at the same time. You cannot beat flower arrangements made with 100% locally grown blooms.

We may even have some fresh flowers available this Saturday on the Spoon River Drive at Jones Park in Canton. The dahlias have finally started producing well and come out of their shock from August rains.
