Rodney loves Holly Beach and believes in its future. Kite Fest isn’t just a day of colorful kites filling the sky; it’s a family-friendly event that brings people together, creates memories, and showcases everything that makes the Cajun Riviera special.

Because of Rodney’s vision, hard work, and dedication, families spent the day looking up instead of down, watching the sky come alive with color and enjoying a truly unique experience right here in Holly Beach.

A huge thank you to the amazing community of Holly Beach for showing up, shopping local, and supporting our vendors at today’s Kite Fest Market. The turnout was incredible, and seeing so many families, friends, beachgoers, and festival visitors enjoying the market made all the hard work worthwhile.

A special thank you goes to the organizers and sponsors of Kite Fest for creating such a wonderful event and for helping bring so many people together on our beautiful coast. Your efforts help showcase everything that makes Holly Beach such a special place.

And of course, thank you to our vendors, who braved the wind, set up their booths, and brought so much talent, creativity, food, and fun to the market.

Meet Tanya Ardoin, one of the talented local authors you’ll find at the Cajun Riviera Market!

Through her Crawville series and companion activity books, Tanya is doing something special: helping introduce a new generation of children to Cajun French through stories, coloring books, and lovable South Louisiana critters. Crawfish, gators, frogs, and other familiar faces become teachers as kids learn words and phrases tied to the culture that makes Acadiana unique.

Some people might argue that food is the heart of Cajun culture. Others would say it’s the music. Tanya’s books make a strong case that the language itself is what ties it all together. Every Cajun French word passed on to a child is one more piece of our heritage kept alive for the future.
