🌾🚜 Happy National Farmers Day! 🚜🌾

Today we celebrate the hardworking men and women who dedicate their lives to feeding our families, supporting our communities, and keeping agriculture alive. ❤️

Did you know?

🇺🇸 95% of American farms are family-owned.

🌾 The United States has approximately 1.88 million farms, according to 2024 USDA data.

🚜 Between 2012 and 2022, America lost more than 208,000 farms, a decline of nearly 10%.

Those numbers tell a story. Farming families are working hard to preserve a way of life that becomes more challenging with each passing generation.

Farmers don’t just work to feed their own families. They work to feed yours, too. ❤️

At The Local Market, farming is more than our livelihood. It’s our roots, our passion, and something we hope future generations will continue to carry on.

Today, and every day, we are thankful for the farmers who keep showing up, even when the odds are stacked against them.

Thank a farmer. Support a farmer. And never forget where your food comes from. ❤️🌾

And so it begins for this farmer ❤️ Long days and long nights ahead!

To have a front porch view of our farmer bringing in the crops he’s spent months working so hard for is an honor. The countless hours, the never ending worrying, the unpredictable weather, and the dedication it takes to get to this point.

Harvest isn’t just another season around here. It’s the reward for all the hard work, sacrifices, and faith put into the ground months ago.

Here’s to a safe and bountiful harvest for all our farmers! 🫶🏻🫶🏻👨‍🌾🚜

Our hens are keeping us busy, and we’re running low on cartons! If you have any clean, empty egg cartons lying around, we’d love to put them to good use.
