WE’RE UPGRADING THE W**E PROGRAM — AND THE WHITES ARE GETTING SOME LOVE TOO.
New w**es are showing up on the shelves at Sea Cow daily, and these three are especially good matches for what’s in the butcher and seafood cases right now.
2024 Bravium Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Rich enough to stand up to pork and chicken, but still balanced and bright. Pair it with our bone-in pork chops, porterhouse pork chops, smoked pork chops, Joyce Farms chicken, or marinated chicken breasts. It would also be excellent with salmon.
La Caña Albariño — Rías Baixas, Spain
Crisp, clean, and made for seafood. This is the bottle to grab with our Georgia shrimp, redfish, or wild Alaskan coho salmon. Its bright acidity also makes it a surprisingly good match for our jalapeño smoked andouille.
2025 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc — Marlborough, New Zealand
Fresh, vibrant, and full of citrus and tropical fruit. Pair this one with Georgia shrimp, redfish, marinated chicken breast, or sweet Italian sausage. It also works beautifully with anything headed for the grill with herbs, citrus, or a little spice.
We put that pairing to the test ourselves and paired the Greywacke with blackened redfish, broccolini, and an arugula salad. Of course we used a Smithey Ironware Company skillet! It was a great match and exactly the kind of dinner these w**es were selected for.
If you’re planning seafood tonight, we’d lean toward the La Caña Albariño. For pork chops or chicken, reach for the Bravium Chardonnay. And if you want something bright and refreshing that can handle a little spice, grab the Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc.
Pick your protein. Pick your bottle. We’ll help with the rest.
