Brunswick is gearing up for a big Friday night, and you’ll want to make a stop at the Mid-Maryland Farm Market tent while you’re here!

You’ll find it set up right next to Spruce Run Farm, and for the first time this season, we’ll have our super comfy gray Eat Shop Local shirts available for in-person purchase. If you've been wanting one of these shirts, but keep forgetting to order online, here's your chance to take one home! As we join Pride in the Park for a special evening celebrating community, connection, and belonging, we're also bringing one of the best parts of any farmers market: incredible locally-made baked goods and treats.

Belle Aisling Artisan Breads, Butter's Breads, and Poplar Spring Acres will be filling the market with everything from handcrafted sourdough and fresh-baked loaves to cookies, pastries, and those famous slabs of homemade cake. A community celebration is always better when good food is involved.

While we're partnering with Pride in the Park to help create a welcoming evening full of connection, music, food, and fun, we're still bringing what we do best: a farmers market filled with local farmers and fresh seasonal harvests.

Spruce Run Farm, Blacksmith Farm, and Willow Oaks craft cider and wine will be stocked with beautiful fruits and vegetables harvested right here in our region. From crisp greens and garden favorites to the first tastes of summer, you'll find plenty of ways to fill your table while supporting the local farms that help feed our community.

No matter who you are, where you're from, or who you love, everyone needs to eat... and there's something special about sharing a meal made from food grown close to home.

On June 12, Downtown Brunswick will come alive with two community celebrations happening side by side in one continuous experience.

Pride in the Park will take place in Square Corner Park, featuring entertainment, activities, and a variety of vendors in a welcoming, family-friendly celebration of inclusivity, connection, and support for our LGBTQ+ community.

Just steps away, the Brunswick Main Street Farmers Market will be in full swing at the Martins Creek Parking Lot, featuring local farms, artisan vendors, food, and fresh seasonal goods.

Together, these events will create a seamless downtown experience stretching from Square Corner Park along E. Potomac Street to 1st Avenue, and into the Martins Creek area, inviting visitors to enjoy everything our local community has to offer in one walkable evening.

We encourage everyone to start in the park, explore the vendors and music, and continue down the corridor to the farmers market to round out your visit. It’s a great night to shop local, enjoy live energy downtown, and support the small businesses and makers that make this community special.

This past Friday was a spectacular way to close out our time in Square Corner Park!

As we prepare to return to the Martins Creek Parking Lot, it feels a little bittersweet. We know many of you fell in love with the atmosphere of the park... and so did we. There was something special about shopping beneath the trees, listening to the music drift through the grass, and gathering together in such a beautiful setting.

At the same time, we're excited to return to Martins Creek, which provides important amenities and infrastructure that help us better serve our vendors and customers. While the scenery may change, everything you've come to love about our market remains the same: the local farmers, talented artisans, delicious food, live music, friendly faces, and strong sense of community that make market days so special.

Thank you for embracing our temporary time in the park and helping us create so many wonderful memories there. Your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to follow us wherever we set up shop mean more than you know.

As we head toward the end of May, one thing is becoming very clear… asparagus season is almost over! If you’ve been waiting to grab some fresh local asparagus from Spruce Run Farm, this Friday’s market is the time to do it.

While you’re there, be sure to stock up on all the fresh seasonal goodness they’ll have on hand including leafy greens, greenhouse tomatoes, local wildflower honey, and a limited amount of those sweet, juicy strawberries everyone has been waiting for. Come early for the best selection.

There’s something about a Friday afternoon market with live music in the air, food truck favorites cooking, fresh lemonade being poured, and the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee drifting through it all.

Black Mountain Roasters is a couple-owned coffee business built on hard work, good vibes, and really great coffee. They thoughtfully source their beans, roast in small batches, and bring those fresh-roasted flavors straight to the market each month.

Whether coffee is your any time of day drink, your after-work treat, or the thing that somehow still sounds good even while you’re eating pierogis and also carrying a lemonade, make sure you stop by and say hello this Friday.

Darlings, cancel your standing appointment at the bark park and fluff your curls accordingly… because this week’s market is officially dog-approved.

As your Market Ambassador, I, Fancy the Poodle, am positively delighted to welcome Brunswick’s own Three Tail’s Treats to the market! They’re bringing dehydrated and wet food toppers packed with fruits and veggies to elevate your dining experience from “kibble” to “cuisine.” It's lovely to see a local business respecting our palates.

Whether you prefer your supper sprinkled with something sophisticated or you simply enjoy sniffing every booth while your humans shop for vegetables they swear they’ll cook this week, all four-legged patrons are invited to attend.
