🍅 FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, ANYONE? 🍅
We've got beautiful green tomatoes in the market right now — and the Whistle Stop Fried Green Tomato Batter Mix to go with them!

Crispy, golden, tangy — a Southern classic for a reason. Grab a basket of green tomatoes and a box of batter mix, and dinner is basically done. 😉
Quick recipe: slice tomatoes 1/4" thick, coat in the batter mix (prepared per the box), fry in hot oil 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with salt — and try not to eat them all before they hit the plate!

Evans Farms is looking for an organized, energetic Event Coordinator to help us create memorable experiences for our community all year long!

From our busy Fall Festival season and Christmas at the Creamery lineup to Springtime Events and weekend birthday parties, baby and bridal showers, farm field trips — and so much more — you’ll help bring the fun to life behind the scenes helping us plan and host our family farm events!

We’re looking for someone who is:

✨ Highly organized and detail-oriented
✨ Creative, dependable, and able to manage multiple moving pieces
✨ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, family-farm environment
✨ Experienced with social media (preferred)
✨ Available part-time, 20+ hours per week, including weekends

This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth as our events continue to expand!

Some call it a holiday.

A day to rest.
A day to slow down.
A day when the world takes a break.

But the farm doesn’t know it’s Labor Day.

The sun still rises over the fields.
The crops keep growing.
The fruit keeps ripening.
The animals still need tending.
The irrigation still needs to be turned on…
and turned off.

And when harvest is ready,
harvest doesn’t wait until Tuesday.

There is a rhythm to this life
that doesn’t follow a calendar.

It follows the weather.
The seasons.
The soil.
The sun.

It follows something older than any of us.

Because the earth doesn’t take a holiday.

And neither do the hands that care for it.

Behind every field, every harvest, every piece of fruit, every meal on a table…

there is someone who showed up.

Early mornings.
Late nights.
Hot days.
Tired hands.

Not because the calendar told them to work…

but because something was counting on them.

So this Labor Day,
while much of the world takes a well-earned rest,

we honor the farmers whose work keeps moving quietly in the background.

The ones tending.
Growing.
Harvesting.
Feeding.

Because farming isn’t simply a job you clock into.

It is a life lived in rhythm with the earth.

Once again - As summer winds down and our student team heads back to school, we’re looking for a few friendly faces to join our Evans Farms Market family.

📅 Hours:
• Full Day: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• OR split shifts: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM / 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Could also pick up a few closing shifts
✔️ Choose the schedule that works best for you!

🌻 Perfect for retirees or anyone looking for a fun, meaningful way to spend the day in a positive, welcoming environment.

What you’ll do:
✨ Open the market each morning with a smile
✨ Create beautiful produce displays and maintain freshness
✨ Assist with inventory and stock rotation
✨ Water flowers and help keep our market looking its best
✨ Ring up customers and provide warm, friendly service

We always have an amazing team in the summer, and now we’re excited to add new members who share our passion for food, community, and customer care. If you love working in a happy place surrounded by local produce, flowers, and neighbors who become friends, this could be the job for you!
