We've got GREAT SPECIALS this week....Tuesday is our Garlic Shrimp Pasta-penne, baby shrimp,broccoli, cauliflower and carrots dressed in garlic, oil and Romano cheese, better known in Italy as "Aglio e Olio", served with roll. Wednesday is PJ's famous FRIED CHICKEN- fresh bone in chicken, skinned, hand breaded and fried in vegetable oil. Lunch includeds leg, breast, thigh, garlic roasted potatoes, our homemade coleslaw and homemade corn muffin. Thursday is a delicious Hot Roasted Pork Loin Sandwich served with mashed and gravy. Thursday's Special...meat & cheese LASAGNA served with salad and garlic bread $10.95 (order early, this one always sells out). Italian kids learn from a young age how to eat, a lot lol. My cousins and I always reminisce about going to Kennywood as kids. Our mothers and grandmothers would pack picnic baskets for our lunch. Remember the good old days when you would stake your claim in the picnic shelter by placing your table cloth and basket on the table. Funny that you could leave it there all day, unattended and nobody touched it. We would ride for hours then we would all meet back at our tables for our lunch. Our grandmothers (there were 5 sisters) would have our buffet spread out waiting for us. Now most "normal" families packed fried chicken, sandwiches and potato salad. Not my family. Our grandmothers packed chicken parmigiana, homemade spaghetti, meatballs, veal cutlets and salad from the garden. Ah the good 'ol days when we ate like Italians!
