Productive and fun day for the eclipse. We had great weather here at Ohana acres and about 80% coverage. It was amazing to feel temperature drop and the pressure and humidity fade away.

65 degrees april 8 2024 planted peas beets carrots collards and brussel sprouts and installed a cattle panel arch to train the beans on. :) one more (or two) more panels to install. Divers Hardhat did all the hard work while i stood around. ;)

Here are the plans for 2024. Using the raised beds and then putting some things in the field near the chicken coop. Hig ground with no chance of being flooded! Divers Hardhat and my little helpers mulched the strawberry bed and planted alyssum and nasturtiums with them. :)

We have scaled back our plans for 2024 at Ohana acres due to Diana's terrible knee injury. (Total tibial plateau fracture on 12/23 and 2 metal plates installed on 01/04) We would love to have a few volunteers to assist us.

We do not pay cash, we pay in sunshine, dirty nails, teamwork and eventually, fresh produce all summer long. The asparagus is starting up, so it will be the first item we can offer.

Let me know if you want to volunteer! Even if you know NOTHING about gardening and just want to learn, come on over!

Almost time to say farewell to 2023...

2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year! Plans to plant in higher ground! We have some new people interested in playing in dirt next year!

Wayne has worked very hard to put the raised beds to rest for the winter. Some are growing oats and mustard greens to keep the weeds down.

The front fields are a mess.... lets not talk about them. ;) if you have an idea for next year, lets hear it!

The hardest working man i could ever have asked the universe for! Back in the spring i had big garden dreams and together we planted over an acre of produce. Then it rained. A lot. And the field got flooded. Then my grandkids came along... and now i have little time for the garden now! He works his butt off to keep it going for his friends with raised beds here.

So Thank you, universe for bringing Divers Hardhat into my world!
