Burger Recipe
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 cheese slices
- 4 buns
- 4 slices of tomatoes
- 4 slices of onions
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1/4 cup sauce (such as ketchup or BBQ sauce)
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, and dried parsley). Mix well and form into 4 patties.
3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1/4 cup of olive oil.
4. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned. Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and let it melt.
5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the onion rings. In a shallow dish, mix the flour with the dried spices (garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, and dried parsley).
6. In another shallow dish, beat the egg.
7. In a third shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.
8. Dip the onion rings in the flour mixture, then the beaten egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, making sure to coat them well.
9. Heat oil in a pot or deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated onion rings in the oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
10. Assemble the cheeseburgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top it with a slice of tomato, onion, and lettuce. Drizzle the sauce of your choice on top and add a few diced pickles. Place the top half of the bun on top.
11. Place the assembled burgers on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the buns are toasted and the cheese is melted.
12. Serve the cheeseburger onion rings hot and enjoy!
