We are just a few weeks out from Halloween - make it a little less spooky with some green swaps:
#1 - Find your costume at the local thrift store or host a costume swap!
#2 - Make sure to compost your pumpkin!
#3 - Don't buy cheap, commercial chocolate! These companies use child labor to pick their cacao beans. While cheap for the consumer, its at the expense of the children. Buy responsible chocolate or don't buy chocolate. Candy in small cardboard boxes is always good solution. Check out Equal Exchange, Tony's Chocolonely , Taza Chocolate , Raaka Chocolate for inspiration!

The - I am still amazed that anyone will drink from this thing. Forget the fact that you're ingesting each time and that rates of cancer & Parkinson's are through the roof and keep finding younger victims - but you don't know where that thing's been! Somewhere on its journey, that bottle more than likely has been in an overheated truck or warehouse where the many thousands of plastic chemicals that make it up get released into the water that you will eventually drink. Is that enough to make you stop?
