“So, we're accepting a couple different things this year. The SNAP and EBT program we're still accepting those. Stop by the market booth to grab your tokens and then we have the incentive program for that called Produce Perks where for every dollar they spend on their snap card, they receive an additional dollar. That program's actually being sponsored this year by Cenovus and Activate Allen County. So, we're really grateful for them allowing us to continue offering that program,” adds Downing.

Big news for our community 🥕

The Lima Farmers Market is proud to continue supporting SNAP customers by making fresh, local food more accessible through the Produce Perks program. Through this incentive program, SNAP shoppers can receive up to an additional $25 each week to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables when using their SNAP benefits at the market.

This year, state funding for Produce Perks was reduced, putting the future of the program in our community at risk. Thanks to the incredible generosity of and , Produce Perks will still be available exclusively at the Lima Farmers Market this season.

We are so grateful for their commitment to improving access to healthy food and supporting the wellbeing of our community. Programs like this would not be possible without community partners who believe in the importance of local food and nutrition access.
