My favorite people are at the farmers market 💕

As I was scrolling through memory lane in my bread album looking for that one photo of the PBJ croughnut, I thought I would highlight a few of my favorite things.
Of course our croughnuts- last call on PBJ and Birthday cake fyi! But let’s not forget the rosemary olive ciabatta, Paczki, the baked on cheese goodness of an Asiago sourdough bagel, the huge cinnamon roll made with croissant dough, cheese and cherry filled danish, and the classic artisan sourdoughs- that just go with everything.
These are a few of my favorite bakehouse goodies - what keeps you coming back to the market?

Get in early for the best selection of croughnuts, bread and pastries! We also now have Kountry Fresh hydroponic lettuce in the store! Try their Summer Crisp or Romaine lettuce. 🥬

What does this mean....

Placing bets on Albus (cause the cool name, duh). Sipping Old Forester Mint Juleps, wearing extravagant hats, singing "My Old Kentucky Home," and donning spring-themed "Sunday best" attire?

Well, maybe later in the afternoon AFTER the DOWNTOWN BLOOMINGTON FARMERS MARKET!!! We are so excited to welcome everyone back to Center st! We had a little work done this winter so you should come and check it out ;)

Hey Blo-No friends!
Our friends over at are at it again with dressing up their goats. This time as bunny’s, to remind us it’s Easter weekend!

We will be stocked with rolls, pastries, and hot cross buns from in the morning. So make sure you stop by and stock up!

April croughnuts are lemon coconut and strawberry lavender.

And we are excited to share the Center street construction is finished! You can now park and skip on over!

A quick update on the construction. 🚧

It’s still happening. Good news the weather will be nice for a little park and stroll.

More good news, we will be stocked with breads and more.

Sad news: this the last weekend for Irish cream and matcha raspberry croughnuts.

So come downtown, brave the construction, and get your bread fix tomorrow from 7:30am-2pm. Support local, friends!

We have word that the street in front of our store is currently closed due to some construction.

WE WILL BE OPEN!

We raise our fist in the air to the construction gods! There WILL be local goods sold today! We cannot be stopped!
Sooo, join us in our rebellion and come see us. We have Irish cream and raspberry matcha croughnuts. Our shelves are stocked with local favorites: Funks Farm, Janies Mill, honey, eggs and so much more! And then, we have the almond and chocolate croissants that you love so much.

Don't let construction get you down. The weather will be beautiful, a perfect day to stroll the square downtown!

We are open today till 2pm! Check out what we have in store!

Fat Tuesday wouldn’t be complete without paczkis, and Central Illinois Bakehouse is bringing their A-game.
🍩 Bavarian Cream Paczki – Brioche-based, fried to golden perfection, filled with rich Bavarian cream, and dusted with powdered sugar
🍩 Raspberry Paczki – Same light, pillowy brioche, filled with tart raspberry jam and topped with a sweet glaze

February croughnuts are here, and they’re worth the trip.
This month’s flavors:
🥐 Baklava – Our original croughnut drenched in house-made syrup and topped with walnuts and pistachios. Rich, nutty, and unapologetically indulgent.
🥐 Cherry – Dipped in Bakehouse-made cherry icing and finished with heart sprinkles for a festive touch.
