Despite an early afternoon shower I had a great evening and a great turn out 3 Birds Berry Farm today. Its always a joy to see young and old eyes widen and light up at seeing inside a hive for the first time. The queen blessed us with her presence today on a few occasions. There are always so many great questions. Thank you all for attending.

Spent the morning checking some hives and adding honey supers. Things are looking good.

Taking advantage of the warm weather we have, went through the hives. All of them are busy collecting pollen and nectar. Bright yellow pollen coming in. Bees should be starting to work the maples. Queen is starting to lay , nice brood patterns. Starting to see some drone larvae (male bees), swarming season is just around the corner.
