Happy Cinco de Mayo, Beverly!
We can’t wait to serve you again. We’re now targeting a May 15th reopening, pending final permit approvals.
In the meantime, here’s an easy carne asada to celebrate the day:
Easy Carne Asada
• 1.5 lbs skirt or flank steak
• Juice of 2 limes and 1 orange
• 4 garlic cloves, minced
• 1/3 cup olive oil
• 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper
• Small handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
Whisk the marinade, coat the steak, and let it sit 20-30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).
Get a cast iron or grill ripping hot, sear 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, then rest 5 minutes before slicing thin against the grain.
Pile it on warm tortillas with onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
Thanks for your patience. See you soon!
