We have made the difficult decision to not open this year for pick your own blueberries. Mother Nature has thrown us a curveball this year and graced us with too much rain. It has definitely impacted three of our five earliest varieties so our production is way down from where we would like to be to feel good about being open for your own.

We had high hopes for this year because we have new residents living here this year, Burt's Honey Farm has brought 24 hives to visit our blueberries, warm season grasses and pollinator plots. Don't worry, all the bees have been moved out of the blueberries and into a field further away from the picking action. We are continuing to supply Firefly Kombucha and Mrs. B's Sourdough Company with our naturally grown blueberries to ensure their businesses get what they need. We will continue to honor those customers who won fresh blueberries through the Benton May Day PTC and Tiger Tailgate basket raffles.

Should our later varieties produce more than we think, then we may consider opening later in the season. We are sorry that we can't supply everyone what they want/need this year and we will miss seeing our regular customers. Feel free to check back on our FB page to see if we have any extras available later in the season.

We hope everyone has a great summer!

YUM! It's official we will be open for picking for the 2024 season beginning Friday, July 5th. We are open Friday’s from 5:00PM – 8:00PM and Saturday’s from 8:00AM – 2:00PM.

We currently offer 5 different varieties and will have new berries ripening every week through early-August.

Cost: U-Pick = $2.25 lb.
We pick = $6.00 qt.

We will have frozen blueberries that we will be selling for $20 per gallon bag. These berries are already washed and dried thoroughly before we freeze them so they can be separated into smaller portions or used by the cup as needed.

We raise our berries naturally. This means we do not use any commercial, synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers in or around our berry fields. We use very little amendments or products, and when we do, we use natural products that are qualified for organic (wood chips/shavings, elemental sulfur) operations.

We strive to continue our commitment to only using natural products and methods for maintenance of our blueberries.

Location-We are located at 69 Saddle Rock Road, Benton, PA which is just 0.4 miles north of Route 118; Saddle Rock Road is 2.5 miles east of Route 118 and Route 239 intersection, and 4.5 miles west of Route 118 and 487 intersection.

When you arrive at the farm, look for the parking area sign and please check in at the Blueberry Welcome Tent to have your container weighed and to be assigned bushes. If you bring your own bucket, please make sure we weigh you and your bucket before you begin picking so we can accurately weigh the berries you pick. Just kidding we don't weigh you, but we do weigh your bucket!!!

Looks like this year’s crop is not going to disappoint. We are getting ready for opening day. We normally open around July 4th weekend so check back for an exact day for opening and hours.

Welcome Summer 2023. Unfortunately due to the dry spring and a late frost our blueberry production is not going to be what we had hoped for this year. We have decided to not open for pick your own blueberries this year. Our blueberries are behind in ripening, normally we would be picking this weekend, but our earliest varieties are only now starting to turn color. Once we get a handle on what actually does ripen, flavor and quantities, then we will consider selling bags of frozen. We are unsure if we will offer fresh, so I would suggest if you are interested in our berries stay tuned to our FB page and we will post what we have available when. Sorry to disappoint, but as we have learned in previous years, Mother Nature always has a say.

Tonight we went down to the berries to check out the situation and unfortunately we don't have enough ripe to justify being open this weekend. Based upon what we are seeing with only one variety remaining for the season we have decided to close for the season.

We appreciate everyone who came out to pick with us this summer. It really was a pleasure to meet and visit with everyone and particularly happy to see so many returning customers. We have been so crazy busy that this summer has blown past us so now it is time to sit back and enjoy the rest of what summer has to offer. We wish you a safe and healthy year and look forward to seeing everyone next summer.

Enjoy your summer!

It's been one very busy summer. Despite some very hot days of picking and the threat of rain, this summer has been a success. Our season is starting to wind down with only two of five varieties still producing berries. Although there are a lot of berries ready for picking, this may be the last weekend of picking. For those of you who still wish to pick and store for the winter, please consider coming tomorrow between 8:00 AM and 2:00PM, the earlier the better. We hate to disappoint, particularly those who have called or said they wanted to come out, but just haven't been able to make it. We cannot guarantee we will have much to pick after Saturday, or that we will even be open after this weekend. If you can't make it here tomorrow, please stay tuned for an update about our status for next weekend.

In the meantime, below are a few photos of those who have ventured out to pick blueberries this season. It was a pleasure to be apart of your family outing, provide you home grown fresh blueberries, and in some cases, the start of a new family tradition.
