Did you know that our orchard is part of our family's dairy farm? Look past the apple trees, the round bales and the meadow with the heifers..... You can see our son Noah mowing hay under this evening's beautiful sunset.
Gotta make hay while the sun shines. Well, it used to be shining but now he needs his headlights.

National Donut Day:
During World War I, The Salvation Army DONUT LASSIES
were American volunteers and Salvation Army officers who fried
dough on the front lines in France. To both honor their service
and raise funds for those affected by the Great Depression, The
Salvation Army established National Donut Day in 1938.

Thank you to the brave men and women of the armed forces and Salvation Army during WWI.
Today is National Donut Day. But it is about so much more than donuts.

What is this otter gnawing on? It is something VERY chewy. A frog? He's digging through the mud to get them. Sorry about the focus problems. I never dreamed he would pop up right next to me so I had the zoom lens on my camera.
