And this one is especially close to our hearts. ❤️

We’re closing out the season with The Kindness Experiment-a market centered around something our community could always use more of: kindness, connection, generosity, and showing up for one another.

The Kindness Experiment is about bringing people together, and reminding each other that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference.

But we also need YOU. 🫶

If you’ve enjoyed having our markets here in Bend, or if you’ve been meaning to come and just haven’t made it yet, this is the one to come to.

This is our final market of 2026, and the turnout at this event will help us understand whether Bend truly wants us to continue bringing these markets back in 2027.

So if you want us back next year, please don’t wait until it’s too late to tell us.

Every person who shows up matters. Every share, comment, invitation and kind word matters.

We have loved creating these markets for Bend, and we would LOVE to come back in 2027.

✨ THE KINDNESS EXPERIMENT IS HERE ✨

This Friday isn’t just another market. It’s something we’ve been dreaming about for a while …and I honestly can’t wait to see what happens when we bring a whole community together around one simple idea:

How much kindness can we create in one small place, in just a few hours? 🩵🫶

For this special Kindness Experiment at Elevation Market, every one of our vendors is attending completely FREE. There’s no vendor fee. Instead, we asked them to “pay” for their space in a different way …by bringing a random act of kindness to share with the people who come through the market.

And the best part? There are no rules for what that kindness has to look like. It can be big or tiny. A gift. A surprise. A thoughtful gesture. Something that makes a stranger smile. Something that reminds another human being that people really do care.

I’ve already heard some of the things our vendors are planning, and you guys… 🥹❤️ I cannot wait to watch this unfold.

But the experiment isn’t only for our vendors. It’s for ALL of us.

If you’re coming to the market, we’d love for you to bring your own little act of kindness too. Buy a coffee for a stranger. Leave someone an encouraging note. Compliment someone. Bring something to give away. Help someone carry their bags. Make somebody laugh. Or simply look for the person who might need a little extra kindness that day.

Imagine what could happen if hundreds of people walked into the same space thinking:

“How can I make someone’s day a little better?”

That’s the experiment. 💛

No politics. No division. No agenda. Just people, community, local businesses, and a few hours dedicated to putting as much goodness into one little corner of Bend as we possibly can.

What if you walked into a market where the most valuable thing you could bring… was kindness? 💛

That’s the idea behind The Kindness Experiment.

There’s no vendor fee here. Instead, every maker who joins us is asked to “pay” for their space with an act of kindness.

But we don’t want it to stop with our vendors.

We want everyone who walks through the doors to become part of it, too. 🩵

Notice someone standing alone and say hello.
Tell a stranger something kind.
Buy someone a coffee.
Make someone laugh.
Help someone without being asked.

It doesn’t need to be big.

In fact, we think the smallest moments might be the ones that matter most.

Because this market is really an experiment in human connection:

What happens when a market full of people starts looking for ways to make someone else’s day a little better?

Maybe one kind moment inspires another.

Maybe strangers start talking.

Maybe people linger a little longer.

Maybe, for a few hours, a market starts to feel less like a place to buy things… and more like a community.

That’s what we hope to create on Friday, October 2nd.

Connect with your community… and before you leave, find one person you didn’t know when you arrived and offer them a little kindness.

No credit.
No recognition.
Nothing expected in return.

Just give it away and let it keep moving.

What happens when kindness becomes the currency?

We want to find out. 🩵🥰

The Kindness Market is a little different from other markets.

There is no vendor fee. Instead, we’re asking every vendor to “pay” for their space with one simple act of kindness.

And we’d love everyone who walks through the doors to join us.

Buy a stranger a coffee.
Give someone a genuine compliment.
Introduce yourself to someone standing alone.
Ask a maker about the passion behind what they create… and REALLY listen.
Make someone laugh.
Or simply notice someone who might otherwise go unnoticed.

Nothing complicated. Nothing performative. Just kindness, freely given.
Because we want to try a little experiment:

What happens to the energy of one small space when everyone inside it is intentionally looking for an opportunity to be kind?

Can one act become two?
Can two become twenty?
Can a room full of strangers begin to feel like a community?

We think so.

And on Friday, October 2nd, we’d love for Bend to come help us find out.

Come shop. Come connect. Come meet the people behind the things being made in our community.

And somewhere along the way, find one person you don’t know and do something kind for them.

DOG ADOPTION DAY AT ELEVATION MARKET!

This Friday, come spend the afternoon with us at Elevation Market and help us support the incredible work of Street Dog Hero.

From 3 -7 PM, Street Dog Hero will be joining us with some seriously adorable pups who are looking for one very important thing… their forever home.

Street Dog Hero is also accepting donations of gently used leashes and collars, so if you have extras sitting at home, please bring them along! Every donation helps support dogs on their journey from the streets to safe, loving homes.
