Our feta is made in a Bulgarian style from goat milk, giving it a bright, tangy flavor that’s especially good this time of year.

Crumble it over a spring salad, tuck it into a wrap, or add it to roasted vegetables.

Simple food done well never really goes out of style.

Tuesdays are fresh cheese curd days around here. Around 6:30 this evening they’ll be ready and still warm.

If the OPEN sign is on, feel free to stop in while we finish cleanup. You’re also welcome to call and let us know you’re on your way so we can set some aside for you.

Gretna Grillin’ is a super snack that feels pretty special.

Warm it in a skillet until the outside turns golden, then drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar and serve warm.

We’ve been making cheese all week, and it’s starting to show up everywhere.

Fresh curds, Grillin’ cheese, and a good mix of aged cheeses are ready to go for the market weekend.

Some of you will grab it at the Clintonville Farmers' Market and Worthington Farmers Market on Saturday morning, some at your local retailer, and some will make the drive to Bellefontaine.

Either way, this is a good week to restock the fridge.

Eggs are coming along with the cheese this week to the Clintonville Farmers' Market and Worthington Farmers Market markets.

Free range, non-GMO, tend to be one of the things to sell out.

If you have empty cartons stacking up at home, bring them back our way. We’ll use them again.

One of our favorite parts of naming our cheeses is tying them back to the history of the place we call home. Hull’s Trace is named after the historic trail that once ran through Logan County during the War of 1812. Long before modern roads, it helped connect settlers, farmland, and communities across Ohio.

The cheese itself is young, creamy Cheddar, and made from local milk. Simple and approachable, but with a story behind it. We love that we get to create something that reflects both the land and the history around us.

After 18 years of building Blue Jacket Dairy, I’ve realized something.

Most of what we’ve learned here goes well beyond cheese.

It’s about showing up when things don’t go as planned.
It’s about learning how to lead when you feel stretched thin.
It’s about building something that lasts without burning yourself out in the process.

Lately I’ve started sharing more of those lessons with different groups, and it’s been interesting to see how much they resonate outside the creamery.

Still making cheese. Just talking about what comes with it a little more too.

18 years ago, we got our cheesemaker license. We didn't have it all figured out. We just started and kept going.

There have been a lot of early mornings, long days, and plenty of learning along the way. But when we look back, it's really about the people.

Those are you who kept coming back and shared our cheese on your tables. Those who supported us, especially in the early years. We didn't build this alone. And we're really grateful for that.

Here's to another year!
