In just a few short weeks, the Bay Area Farmers Market opens at our new location at Pere Marquette Parking Plaza surrounded by blooms, fresh air, and everything that makes this season feel like a fresh start.

As the upcoming season draws closer, a new era for the market begins to bloom.

Created with intention and community in mind, our rebrand reflects just that. Rooted in what this market is all about.

Our new identity features hand-drawn fruits and vegetables by local artist Emily Frederick, brought to life across our logo and merch, including tote bags and hats arriving this season.

We are so excited to see you soon!

What a great day at the Bay City St. Patrick’s Day Parade! ☘️🌻

The Bay Area Farmers Market had so much fun celebrating with the community and passing out sunflower seed packets along the parade route. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and sharing a little reminder that spring and market season is right around the corner.

May your gardens bloom with a little extra luck this year! 🌱

It's official! The Bay Area Farmers Market will be moving to the Pere Marquette Parking Plaza, located at the corner of 5th & Adams in downtown Bay City for the 2026 season.

We’d like to extend the most sincere thank you to Bay County for allowing us to utilize this beautiful, centrally located space. Their community partnership will help make our market more accessible and welcoming for our entire community and we are beyond grateful! ✨🙌

As we prepare to open our vendor applications for the 2026 season, we wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Michigan Farmers Market Association!

We’re honored to share that the Bay Area Farmers Market (BAFM) was awarded the Julia A. Darnton Scholarship, allowing us to participate in the Market Manager Certificate Program! This training will strengthen our leadership, operations, vendor support and the ability to deliver an even better market experience for our community in 2026.

Our 2025 Market Coordinator, Traelynne DuRussel, is excited to represent the Bay Area Farmers Market at the program kick-off in Grand Rapids this weekend, with ongoing training throughout the season.

Well, market friends… 2026 is officially here! ✨

Over the past few months, we’ve taken time to thoughtfully reflect on our inaugural season. We’ve listened closely to your feedback, celebrated last season’s successes, and discussed how the market can improve and grow more inclusive, accessible, and supportive for the community.

We’re excited to share a quick look at what’s ahead this coming season.... from pursuing non-profit status, to our new location, changing the market day, extending hours, and continuing to expand our team, there's a lot to look forward to! And we couldn't be more grateful to have the opportunity to continue to grow together.

We have exciting news! 🎉 We are officially LICENSED and fully OPERATIONAL!

This means more delicious baked goods—from artisanal breads and rolls to decadent sweets and treats—are coming your way. You can now find us kneading and baking in our new home, sharing kitchen space with the fantastic team at The Palace! It's a sweet and savory partnership, and we're thrilled to be part of their space. Be sure to stop by the Palace soon to check out their delicious specials, and find out what we've been baking!

And for all the local cafes, restaurants, and shops: We are now accepting WHOLESALE ORDERS! 🥖🍰 Want to bring our signature breads and treats to your customers? Send us a DM or email us at [email protected] to view our full menu and discuss partnership opportunities.
