We are a family owned, organic raised little farmette half way between Bastrop and Smithville. We currently have a flock of 8 chickens who are only fed organically by foliage, Coyote Creek Organic Layer Feed, and an occasional organic fruit treat. 8 hens may not seem like a lot, but we get more eggs than we can eat and so we enjoy offering them to others in the community. We love our organic eggs

and hope you do as well.

1 dozen = $3.00
18 pack = $5.00

Cartons are provided, unless I run out. For sanitary reasons, I rinse the eggs, but if you want them un-washed, let me know. Cleaned eggs must be refridgerated, while un-washed eggs do NOT need to be in fridge and will last longer. Please note, because they are not bleached with heavy chemicals, some may have 'stains' on them. In addition to offering organic eggs, I tend to my small garden. I only use organic practices and occasionally have extra peppers, greens, and other organically grown veggies, fruits, and herbs. We look forward to providing your family with wonderful farm fresh produce.

Traces of Texas reader Benjie Bonham sent in this wonderful shot of his grandfather Josh being pulled in his wagon by a Brahma chicken in Joshua, Texas, 1910. I posted this a long, long time ago but I've received so many goat/pony/dog cart photos that I thought it might be time to post it again. The only chicken cart photo I've ever received. Josh looks to having a good time but the chicken looks like he'd rather be elsewhere.
