🥚 Farm stand egg update! 🥚

Thanks to our local farm friends who help supply the stand, we currently have plenty of fresh eggs in stock.

We also decided to try something a little different — duck eggs! We have one dozen duck eggs available at the stand now for anyone who wants to try them.

Duck eggs are larger, richer, and great for baking or cooking. If there’s interest, we’ll work on getting more in stock.

🌿 NEW AT THE FARM STAND! 🌿

Our first batch of Whole Leaf Dried Cinnamon Basil is now stocked at The Reviving Garden Farm Stand!

This unique herb has a sweet basil flavor with natural cinnamon notes and is great for teas, honey infusions, baking, fruit dishes, and more.

This is a small first harvest, but more jars will be available soon as we continue harvesting and drying throughout the season!

Update!!!

The sweet basil were dehydrating we just learned is actually the trial Cinnamon Basil we wanted to try!

So if you’ve never tried it, now will be your chance as we have 35 plants of it for the season.

🚨 Quick community question before we pack anything 🚨

We’re trying to decide if it’s worth stocking the farm stand with pre-weighed packs of red radishes and green onions.

As many of you know, we are still harvesting small amounts here and there, but our main crops are not ready yet. Because of our quality standards, we do not currently have enough good produce to start full boxes.

Unfortunately, we had to toss about 10 lbs of lettuce tonight due to quality, so we’re trying to make the most of what is ready.

Would anyone be interested if we packed up red radishes and green onions for the stand?

If there’s interest, we’ll get some stocked soon.

🌿🌱 First Basil Harvest of the Season! 🌱🌿

We harvested some of our sweet basil today! While it wasn’t a huge harvest, that was actually the goal. By giving the plants a good trim now, we’re encouraging them to branch out and produce even more growth throughout the season. 💪🌿

What we harvested will be dehydrated and turned into our own jarred whole-leaf dried basil, which will be headed to our self-serve farm stand as soon as it’s bottled and ready.

And don’t worry, there’s plenty more to come! We currently have around 35 basil plants growing and they’re just getting started. 🌱

We love finding ways to turn what we grow into useful products the community can enjoy year-round, whether that’s fresh produce, herbs, honey, eggs, flowers, or more.

🌱☀️ Finally, some good news from the farm! ☀️🌱

After a much more challenging start to the season than we anticipated, our crops are finally starting to take off.

To everyone who stuck with us and understood that farming means working with Mother Nature, not controlling her, thank you. We truly appreciate your patience and support. 💚

We’re expecting CSA boxes to start going out more regularly soon, and we’re hopeful July will be the month we get back on track.

Currently:
🧅 Yellow & Green Onions are almost ready
🍅 Cherry Tomatoes are producing
🥔 Potatoes are sizing up
🍅 Beefsteak Tomatoes are growing fast
🥒 Zucchini & Squash are setting fruit
🌱 Green Beans will be harvested soon

Because of the delayed season, we’re not making any guarantees, but there is a possibility we may be able to continue filling boxes later into the fall, potentially into November.

We will also be adding farm-fresh eggs to CSA boxes unless you request otherwise. The eggs come from trusted local farms we are partnering with and working alongside.

There is finally some light at the end of the tunnel, and we’re excited to get fresh food back into your hands. 🌿

Talking to family we noticed we have not seen any bees this year so far which is very important for crop pollination,

Has anyone noticed a reduction in bees this year?
