Long but much needed post….
We’ve had a few people brought to our attention that some of our product is expired.
We spoke with the company we purchase our imported goods from after noticing dates on some products that made it appear as though they were expired.
We learned that date labeling can differ between countries, and some imported products list the manufacturing/production date rather than the expiration date in the way we’re accustomed to seeing here in the U.S.
We’re making this post to share a quick insider tip on how imported labels work.
Unlike U.S. snacks, most Asian imports print the manufacturing date. (The day it was born) right on the product, instead of “best by” date.
Here is how to read it in 3 easy steps:
1️⃣ Find the stamp: For example, 20260505 means it was MADE on May 5, 2026. Not expired.
2️⃣ Check the shelf life: Flip it over to the English translation label. Most sodas (like our viral Jasmine Peach Fanta) are fresh for 9 to 12 months from that factory date.
3️⃣ Enjoy! That means a bottle made in May is perfectly fresh and safe until early next year.
