More crazy punkin' eating pigs! Yes, we'd love to have more. The pigs live 10 miles out of Baker so we don't come to town every day but you can drop them off at my sister's house at 1940 Oak St or I can pick them up Saturday or next week . I'll be in town Saturday afternoon. Send me a text if you'd like to have them picked up.

I'm sorry to be one of those people who mentions Christmas before Thanksgiving but I'm going to suggest....a tanned pig hide as a holiday gift. The pigs were raised and tanned by women owned businesses. Take a look and even touch them at Moon Treasures Gift Shop at 2308 Broadway, Baker City. They're next door to Essentially Danika where you'll find our pasture pork and grass-finished beef (the last of our beef until fall 2027).

Here are a few pictures of the pigs enjoying yesterday's pumpkin donations. Thanks Hallie and Morgan! Would you like to donate your pumpkins, squash, apples, other fruits and veggies or bagged leaves to the enjoyment of the pigs at Heather's Family Farm? We have a drop off in Baker at 1940 Oak St. just half a block away from Brooklyn Elementary school or arrange a time to bring them out to the farm and watch the pigs gobble them up in person.

After a wonderful brunch yesterday at Wild Leaven Bakery in Santa Fe, Dora of Dora's Garden fame and I traveled home to our farms in eastern Oregon. We're inspired by fellow agriculturists at Regenerate, a conference about regenerative agriculture and happy to be home with our critters. I had to laugh at Harold who enjoyed a mud bath in 45 degree weather this morning while I wore a winter coat. The little pigs greeted me at their empty feeder. Back to work. 😀
