I am no fundraising expert, but I thought I would shoot my shot for my "Kababayans"(fellow filipino people) back in my province of Negros Occidental.
A week ago (JUNE 3, 2024) Mount Kanlaon an ACTIVE stratovolcano ERUPTED.
The city of Canlaon in Negros Oriental and the municipality of La Castellana in Negros Occidental declared a state of calamity on Tuesday, a day after being hit with ashfall and sulphuric fumes as a result of Kanlaon Volcano’s phreatic eruption.
As a result of this eruption thousands of people left their home for safety. Most of them are now in evacuation centers and in need of a lot of help.
My parents, together with a couple for their friends, drove down yesterday to give out some food packs to the affected people. Although they helped out a lot of the affected people they still do need more help, especially some hygiene kits.
It truly breaks my heart to see all these people and a lot of kids back in my province suffering from this calamity.
So I thought I would do my best to help out as much as I can.
