Join The Gathering Team on Monday, June 15th as we serve our Cass County neighbors with kindness, food, and friendly faces!
Choose a volunteer shift that works for you:
☐ 7:30 AM – Storage Building
Load supplies for transport
☐ 8:00 AM – United Church of Christ
Unload supplies & help set up
☐ 10:00 AM – Kitchen Prep Team
Help prepare the meal
☐ 3:00 PM – Pack Meal Team
Package meals for delivery and carry-outs
☐ 4:00 PM – Delivery Driver – Anita Route
☐ 4:00 PM – Atlantic Delivery Driver #1
☐ 4:00 PM – Atlantic Delivery Driver #2
☐ 4:00 PM – Atlantic Delivery Driver #3
☐ 4:00 PM – Delivery Driver – Griswold Route
☐ 5:00 PM – Dining Room & Kitchen Team
Serve guests and assist in the kitchen
☐ 6:30 PM – Clean-Up Team
Clean dining room and kitchen
☐ 6:30 PM – Load/Unload Team
Help return supplies to storage

Delivery Drivers receive FREE meals for their household after deliveries are completed!
No experience needed. We welcome individuals, families, youth (13+ with supervision), church groups, businesses, and service organizations.

The Gathering Cass County, Inc. Needs Your Help Baking Kindness!

We are currently in need of a few in-kind baking donations to help us continue making homemade desserts for our community meal nights.

Needed Items:
• Sugar
• Vanilla
• Baking Soda
• Baking Powder
• Butter
Chocolate Chips, peanut butter, powdered sugar, etc.

Every donation helps us provide comforting homemade treats to our neighbors across Cass County. Your kindness helps turn simple ingredients into something special for families in need.

Donations can be dropped off during meal prep days at the United Church of Christ, 1607 Hazel St., Atlantic, Iowa. Or by calling either Sally Richter, Coleen Babe, Brenda Euken or Brenda Williams to meet at our storage building.

Iowa HHS is aware that some SNAP recipients had their EBT cards canceled. As a result, some customers are currently unable to use their SNAP cards.

New replacement cards have been issued and should arrive in 5-7 days. Please do not request a new EBT card because a new card has already been issued.
