I love reading facts about fresh milk!!

šŸ§šŸ„›šŸ’Ŗ6 IMPORTANT FACTS LEFT OUT OF RAW MILK DISCUSSIONS: Pasteurization has evoked a serious ā€˜blind spot’ among many journalists, scientists, and industry and professional organizations who believe that there is no ā€˜downside’ to pasteurizing milk. Communications by pro-pasteurization advocates commonly leave out evidence, limitations, and inconvenient truths, in order to perpetuate pro-pasteurization myths and maintain status quo to preserve the dominance of pro-pasteurization ā€˜blind spots’. Beware of entrenched beliefs masquerading as scientific facts that in reality are not supported by scientific evidence.

FACTS LEFT OUT BY PRO-PASTEURIZATION ADVOCATES
1. Neither pasteurized nor raw milk is ā€˜risk-free’
2. Claims that raw milk is ā€˜inherently dangerous’ are not supported by the body of scientific evidence
3. Pasteurized milk is a highly processed food linked to adverse health effects
4. ~15 million people drink raw milk in the USA, and raw milk consumption is increasing
5. CDC data shows raw milk illnesses are not increasing
6. Studies show that children who drink raw milk have lower rates of asthma, allergies, eczema, fevers, ear infections, and respiratory infections

Got milk? Alabama’s dairy farmers sure do!

As we celebrate , we recognize Alabama’s dairy farmers and their cows who produce around 3 million gallons of milk every year! Y'all be sure to support our local farms and have a glass of milk.

Jastin captured these last night at milking time! It was WILD! Out the front door, we could still see the sunset.

Luckily this cloud was just looking dramatic and not behaving dramatically 🤣

It gave us a good soaking and a little thunder and lightening.
