Friday…. Happy Days Again!! At last, we have a restock of beef. Meat arrives at the store around 8:00 to unpack, sort, and stock the freezers. We should have everything ready by mid-morning. If you come earlier, we will find it for you. Thank you everyone for your patience as we recover from April’s disruption. Another new product has hit the shelves. Reemarkedly Good is back, this time with freeze dried raspberries, bananas, apple slices, and blackberries. I tried the raspberries and they are delicious. This is a great nutritious snack. The bunks are filled with baked goods. Christina’s snack boxes were gone in a flash, but she also delivered muffins, Rice Krispie Treats, cookies, coconut cream pies, and 8x8 chocolate cakes. Yum. We have a plentiful supply of pies, cookies, muffins, peanut butter muffins, coffee cakes, cinnamon rolls, artisan breads, sour dough breads, individual size coconut cream pies, and rye bread. Store hours today are 9:00 to 5:30.

Thursday…. Where is the Beef? Our restock of beef will take place mid to late Friday morning. We will have your favorite steaks plus a new product, ground sirloin. What is the difference between ground beef and ground sirloin, you ask. According to the butcher, ground sirloin has a great flavor and makes an outstanding hamburger. In the meantime, we have ground round, stew meat, briskets, roasts, sirloins, tenderized round steaks, and short ribs. Our pork freezer is jammed full of everything we normally carry (pork chops, ham steaks, pork steaks, sausage, brats, hot dogs, pork shoulder roasts, boneless pork loins, bacon, tenderloins, plus whatever else I am forgetting. We also have whole chickens, lamb, cob, salmon, liver sausage, pulled pork, Italian beef, and pizzas. Christina is back this week with muffins, cookies, Krispy treats, small cream pies, and snack boxes. Deanna made fruit pies, cookies, and peanut butter brownies. Check out Rhonda’s area for homemade chocolates, pineapple upside down cake, individual size bundt cakes, and pastries. Tarah is providing us with an assortment of sour dough breads, peach cobbler cinnamon rolls, cookies, and brookies. Lisa of Eight Acre Farm has made artisan breads, coffee cakes, cinnamon rolls, and noodles. Carolyn has made more egg bread, rye bread, and bagels. We have a fresh supply of Deerland Dairy yogurts and their newest flavor, Greek Style Yogurt, is back in stock. Sunrise Flour is proving to be our home bakers choice, and we have a restock of the whole wheat bread flour, larger bags of white flour, and a new product, their Waffle Mix. Our vendor list keeps growing and a welcome to Diggs & Gracie’s Kitchen homemade dog treats. Currently in stock are sweet potato treats and apple slice treats. Blondie approves paws down of the apple slices. We have added some vintage sodas to the cooler for a quick refreshing grab and go beverage for these hot days. Lamer’s milk is in stock plus our farm fresh eggs. Store hours today are 9:00 to 5:30.

As the saying goes, a farmer can mend anything with a little baling twine and duct tape. Denny said when he got out of the tractor he felt a breeze where he shouldn't be feeling a breeze. A quick check revealed the source, a big rip in the seat of his pants. It's planting time and he didn't want to waste time coming back home to change so he did what any resourceful farmer would do, he patched his pants with duct tape. That was last week, and several washings later the patch is holding true.
