Not all processing facilities are created equal, and we’re happy to show you what makes us different.
At Hurdwell, we want the process to be as straightforward as possible for the people trusting us with their livestock. That starts with arrival. Our pull-through drop-off makes bringing animals in easier, and night drop-off offers added flexibility when schedules don’t line up perfectly.
Once they’re here, each animal has its own individual pen and access to its own water. No crowded pens or confusion about whose animal is whose. It’s one of the ways we keep things organized and make sure each animal is accounted for throughout its time at our facility.
That same intentional approach carries through to harvest day. Katie is personally involved on the kill floor, including running the saw, and team members who work those days receive training through a humane handling institute. We believe this work deserves the right preparation and a clear understanding of the responsibility involved. Producers put a great deal into raising their animals, and our job is to respect that investment and carry it through the processing stage.
