One of the biggest secrets of having a cut flower garden is that you can’t be afraid to cut the flowers. The more you harvest, the more the plants produce! ✂️💐

Every stem cut today encourages new blooms tomorrow, which means more bouquets, more color, and a longer season of beautiful flowers. It’s hard to bring myself to cut some of these beauties, but that’s how a cut flower garden keeps giving all summer long!

Easy Rhubarb Custard Bars
Ingredients
5 cups diced rhubarb
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whipped topping
1 cup salted butter
1/2 cup flour
3 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 cups sugar

Even though Sawyer and I couldn’t make it to the farmers market tonight with our flowers, we still got out and enjoyed the evening supporting some amazing local vendors ❤️

We enjoyed:
🥖 Sourdough trail mix & a brownie from Bunny Hill Bakery
🍪 Chocolate chip cookies from Bake with Jenny
🥞 Biscoff pancakes from Lil Mamasitas
🍅 Fresh tomatoes from 1491 Produce
🍋 And lemonade from the sweetest girls doing an amazing job — I didn’t catch the name of their stand, but they were wonderful!

One of my favorite things about market season is getting to support other small businesses and hardworking families in our community. We may have missed setting up tonight, but we still got to enjoy the heart of what makes these evenings so special ☀️
