Another favorite June filler that we love is Mountain Mint. Mountain Mint (sp. muticum) is a North American native that is VERY loved by pollinators. What’s most fascinating about is is the diversity of pollinators that are attracted to it. It has a pleasant minty scent and has also been used to make teas. It is also a perennial and can over winter with ease in NTX.

Lisianthus is in full bloom right now and we are loving them! Lisianthus as a crop is one that takes a long time to grow. We start them in November and they typically bloom in June. They are true labor of love and we love growing different varieties. We have deep rose and this beauty called Voyage 2 Green. The color is beautiful and unique and we are so sad that I didn’t have more seeds.

Another fun fact about Lisianthus is the vase life. They can last 10-14 days and can last out of water longer due to the stems succulent nature. Do you love them or do you have another favorite flower we grow? Share in the comments!

Happy Sunday! We are so grateful to have met all the amazing customers in Wylie at the Wylie Farmers Market for the first time. We will be back at Wylie on the 20th. After that we will be taking a short break with our loved ones but will be back soon in Melissa on June 27th. I hope you had an amazing weekend and I look forward to serving our communities soon!

Here is our Market schedule for June. Of course, weather and life permitted. We are incredibly grateful for our customers and also do special occasion/just because bouquets even when we are not at market. Tomorrow we will be at Wylie Farmers Market from 9am-1pm for our first market with them. Come say hi and see all the amazing vendors!
