Today, we remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the extraordinary men and women who ran toward danger to rescue others.
They were mothers and fathers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, cousins, friends and loved ones. They had families waiting for them, dreams still to live, and people who would forever feel their absence.
We honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders and ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage—risking, and in so many cases giving, their own lives to save another.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember.
We still honor.
We still carry them in our hearts.
May their light forever shine. 🇺🇸
