🌾 Meet “Mr. Bill”, another entry for our Scarecrows in the Square !

This crafty guy was designed by the hardworking volunteers from the Zechariah Boodey Farmstead! 🧡

Come take a stroll through the Monument Square Historic District in downtown Alton Village to check out Mr. Bill and all the other SCARECROWS popping up along Main Street!

👀 Meet “Hilda” The Harvest Goddess, beautifully designed by Jo Corbett of red.cranberries ! 🧡🌾

Jo’s eye + design for detail are on point, as always, but this is her masterpiece of a SCARECROW! You just have to come see it in person!!

What we 🧡 about our COMMUNITY is the amount of nonprofits doing amazing things to make a difference! 🫶

We’re so honored to have these LOCAL NONPROFITS join us TONIGHT, October 2, from 4-7 pm for our Market on Main "Fall Food Truck Friday"!

❤️ Alton Business Association is a key player for our Town community events! From business networking events, Winter Carnival Fundraiser, Festival of Trees, Old Home Day + so much more!! This is their third year joining us and offering “Paint-A-Pumpkin” activity, where kiddos paint pumpkins to display at our town PUMPKIN PATCH at Monument Square! 🧡 🎃

🩵 “Hope4Livi” is a family of fighters and we’re beyond honored to offer this strong family a space to raise outreach and financial support for little Livi!

🩵 Little Livi resides in Alton with her family and at the young age of five months old, she was diagnosed with a neurological disorder, Alternating Hemilplegia of Childhood (AHC). AHC is characterized by transient attacks of paralysis in one or more extremities. These episodes typically last a week as Livi’s parents watch helplessly as their daughter endures the pain of this disorder! 🩵 Please stop by the “Hope4Livi” table to learn more about how you can SUPPORT little Livi! They offer a beautiful Livi bracelet, handmade jewelry from pressed flowers, homemade bread, sweets + more!

⛪️New Hope Chapel Alton (formerly Community Church of Alton) owns the Church Parsonage Lot where we host this event + our Wednesday seasonal outdoor community farmers markets! 🫶🧡🫶

🧡 Zechariah Boodey Farmstead has been with us for our entire seasonal this year and we’re so honored to support their mission and help with community outreach!

🧡 About: “The Zechariah Boodey Farmstead Project is a historic preservation initiative that began with a colonial cape-style house built in 1769. The house is a national landmark and the birthplace of the Free Will Baptist Church. With 2,980 square feet of meeting space on a three-acre parcel of land, the facility will host historical and cultural programs and civic, educational, social, or private events and activities, accommodating 130 individuals.”

Come say hello and shop products from our hardworking LOCAL FARMERS + HERBALISTS! 🧡 Most of these farmers have been with our seasonal outdoor COMMUNITY FARMERS MARKET for the past four years! We’re beyond GRATEFUL to support them AND appreciate them supporting us and participating in our market too!!

It wouldn’t be an event without them so be sure to swing by their booths and stock up for the fall and winter! One can never have too much honey, syrup or frozen meat in the freezer! 🫶

Meet our Market SCARECROW, she’s a PAINTER, Mrs. P! This has definitely been the year of the paintbrush for 115 Main Street…. so it only seemed fitting to make our scarecrow a painter! 🫶
